  • Thank you. Jehan-Ariste Alain died during the second world war in June 1940 as he encountered a group of German soldiers. He killed 16 Germans before being killed himself. After that he was buried with all military honours. Have a look to a very interesting video on Youtube where you can see his sister Marie-Claire Alain playing his works, especially les Litanies.
