Le Jeune Homme et la Mort - Marie-Agnès Gillot, Nicolas Le Riche 1
@FranciKZ Not too long, but it adds a more dramatic effect, switching between the actual speed, sped up and slightly slowed down. But in the end it doesn't matter lol he's amazing now matter what the speed
@Applebutter799 Oh, Well... 15 minutes on a 2 hours movie is quite much, however no one is denying B. amazingness, it's just a technical annotation ;)
Beautiful. I'm so glad that this piece has been captured on film with such wonderful artistry. And to Roland Petit for his beautiful work. RIP, dear sir.
Does anyone know where can i find the music score used in this film by Michel Colombier, all the intrumental themes in the film, actually i'm looking for the piano theme played as background of the scene where he dances alone for the last time in the Kirov Ballet theater, please it's a very sad and beautiful music, i'd like to have it!
This is just a beautiful piece. Such feeling and that I am in a state of awe at witnessing what the human body is capable of within this wondrous form of dance.
@Inua09 yes, Petit had the dancers rehearse to a modern piece of music and then switched it before the performance. I guess so they would get the contemporary movement "feel" and move out of their classical comfort zone. A brilliant move if you ask me. This is one of the few ballets I wish I had gotten the chance to dance.
@robanim29 Según entiendo, Baryshnikov era de los pocos que podían hacer esta coreografía tal cual la imaginó su creador, porque era más atlético que otros bailarines (como Nureyev, por ejemplo, para quien hubo que modificar la coreografía original)
Miraculously wonderful!

Is there a hotter man in this world than Baryshnikov? I don't think so

Having it sped up detracts from his elevation and hang-time, not mention the superb balances! Was really distracting and upsetting :/

why is the music off time? it's so much more powerful when it's exactly to the music

The song is the Passacaglia portion of the Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor by Bach.

Mikhail Baryshnikov reprsents the US, we are puppets, told to move and do, and behave, to the government. Nothing is independant anymore.

I read that originally there was another track accompanied. But at the last moment Bach was chosen.
