Vega 91.5 tried the same babyboomer format when it begain in 2005, but didn't go over 1% in the ratings, so it now sounds just like every other commercial FM station in Melbourne.
This was from the time when 3AK changed format from "Beautiful Music" (easy listening) to a more babyboomer format. It failed, its old listeners moved to 3MP which adopted easy listening, and never really recovered. It tried talk (mostly networked from 2UE) which also failed. Channel 9 (its then owners) sold it to an Italian businessman in 1990, then Southern Cross bought it four years later resurrecting Beautiful Music, but it was too late. 3AK now ID's as "SEN" (sports radio).
