This was coined a "Chicago House" dance music favorite. When I was a little boy I heard my brother playing this song. He'd blend this song with Chicago House music. I didn't know where it came from at the time until I was a teenager studying the history of European Electronic music. I've been a fan of this song since I heard it! Classic forever! I'm so fortunate to have had a chance to heard this at a young age.
@metaldad1967 still got some old Hot Mix Five tapes with this on it! Also this 12" inch a cassette an ex-boyfriend made for me. Still sounds good today!
This isn`t industrial or anything else of the gothic-electro-szene. It`s just pure "Neue deutsche Welle" at it was ment by the real NDW-Musicians. Innovation in sound and a musical revolution, not straight, not so fucking boring like other music in this aera.
Esta cancion representa el movimiento real subterraneo-underground. Osea chequen, cancion fuera de tono, mal ecualizada. La auto gestion era el verdadero espiritu de ese movimiento old school. Genial cancion
I wouldn't really call this pre-industrial. Industrial started in the mid seventies with Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire and SPK. It may be more appropriate to call this pre-EBM.
Man when Farley put this on at the Playground in Chicago everyone hit the floor! If you weren't on the floor you must have been in the bathroom taking a piss trying to get it to come out faster so you could get to the floor!
gorgio moroder wrote "dr. mabuse", by "Propaganda" and "Propaganda&Frankie Goes To Hollywood" , cannot find the rcord yet if you cannot find it send message and i`ll look for it...
Holy hot tomales i have been looking for this track forever. This brinks back so many members from back in the day. And still remember the words. WHO KNEW???? LOL!!!!!
@Saibot216 This is not pre-industrial. Industrial Records was founded in the 70s. Which was when the early industrial we know and love came to be, by of course Throbbing Gristle and other industrial groups that formed in the 70s such as SPK, Nurse With Wound, Clock DVA - to name a few. So when this album came out in the early 80s it definitely wasn't pre-industrial...they were still forming it. And of course these guys went on to be part of great things like Einstürzende Neubauten and Malaria!
i was one of the best dancer in guadalaraja jalisico mexico, back in the 80's with this song im still a dancer but i get too tired though im 39 years old.
