This was actually recorded with The Yardbirds. It's on the album Birdland. Overall I think this is a pretty cool version of the song, Keith Relf used to play harmonica so the harmonica solo on this song was pretty nice touch, Keith would be proud.

I did get to meet the Goo Goo Dolls back in 2006 and was like that kid Ralphie in A Christmas Story when he met santa. I just stood there like OMG, when it was time to leave I realized I didnt say anything to John so I tapped his shoulder and said I HAVE WAITED 12yrs TO SHAKE YOUR HAND AND IM NOT LEAVING TILL I DO... he looked at me said ok shook my hand and i turned and left. You know what's scary? This song John's covering came out before he was even born by almost a year. His birthday's December 5th, 1965 and the original Yardbirds' version came out in February of that year.

Danielle, thanks for this great video! It's fantastic! I love John's cover of this Yardbird's classic. "For Your Love" by the Yardbirds is on one of my favorite compilation CDs that I burned. He covers songs and groups that I love. Great, great pictures. This video is a treasure!

Wow....I'm proud of this vid and I didn't even make it....there is however a picture in here that you used that I took myself in New York at the Hammerstein Theature December 2nd, 2006.....the one of John on his knees..about the 3rd or 4th picture into the slideshow........beautiful....­Thanks for including that.....very nice slide show.....very nice.....
