I had the strangest thing happen in my town the other day- I saw a tarantula AND a scorpion in one night, one right after the other, and they didn't chase me!!! I got out my net, walked right up, and caught each one. It was so bizarre...

Couple of things about scorpions on AC:

They don't sting you when you either don't have a net out or in your pockets (not sure which).

When they sting you you go back to your house.

the esiest way:chase them towards the bus stop, go up on it (the bus stop), take your net out, swing and voila!

dude i caught one the same way this is what happened i walk outside of my house at night i already found like 5 tarantulas i am looking for em there is a scorpion on the right side of my house up so i go around it and start sneaking its walking it turns and looks at me i stop it hisses it continues to walk than it stops then i sneak up and catch it

My second time I just walked really slow until I caught it.

It won't chase after you if you don't have your net out. Once you take your net out, run like shit. OR, cross a bridge, take your net out and watch it fall into the river.

I was sea fishing one night and I just randomly saw a scorpion and I took out my net and just swung. It hissed, but I caught it on the first swing. Idk how hard they were to catch. But I haven't seen a taratula

Lol the Scorpion is a bit easier to catch then the Tarantula, since the Tarantula can jump and climb cliffs... O.o

Yeah, I caught my tarantula that way. :P I also saw a scorpion right at the bottom of the cliff but it walked into a holding pond.

You know, these bugs were so easy to catch in WW, but they've just gotten so much harder. At least I have both of them in my collection and museum.

That method's easier with a scorpion because you can tell which way it's facing. And it was facing the tree the whole time...

Thanks, I really didn't expect to catch it! :P And then a bit later I saw a tarantula (but it fell into a holding pond) and then a scorpion (but it stung me). Maybe August makes them more common...
