All I can think of is how expensive it truely was, and now it's been changed into something that should be worth more than 1,000 dollars! Amazing MewMew. Though, how long did it take you to actually finish the Resin? It seems difficult.... Also, do you show him? It seems like it might be risky enough just taking him off the shelf for how delicate he may look. But a beautiful mold! He looks just like an arabian. No chunkiness at all! ^-^

Resin means that they're not plastic, like breyer horses or peter stones are. They're made from a sculpted master, which is then sent to people who cast them in resin, and resin is MUCH more fragile than tenite plastic, which is what breyers are made of. Resin models can't stand on their own, so most of the usually have sculpted bases that go with them or their legs are reinforced with wires. Resins aren't really models, they're really more of works of art.

Gah! Resin models can't stand on their own without wires in their legs because resin, unlike plastic, can't bare weight on it's own, it makes the legs warp. Sheryl Leisure showed me Kitty Cantrell's "Kitty Did It" resin. The guy who made the resin did't put the wires in the legs, so the legs are bent and the model can't even stand even though it's on a base.

Resins are REALLY expensive because there's so few of them made, and Arabian resins are the ost expensive because Arabians are very finely bred and if you've ever seen real life Arabians, you'll see that they're very pricey.
