@butterfly3873 It matters because if you choose not to vaccinate your children then the number of people who are not immune to the disease could lead to a rise in the rates of diseases that certainly kill children. This is obvious. But what what isn't obvious is that some children can not receive immunizations due to medical conditions and typically they are protected by the fact that 99% of people ARE vaccinated and the disease is seemingly eradicated. By not vaccinating you put others at risk.

After one study correlated vaccines with autism was published, hundreds more were made to prove the causation. Guess what, not a single one confirmed the original study. The original study was retracted because it was found to be CRIMINAL in its research methods. The head publisher of the study had his medical license terminated. Next, many more studies were performed to see if the mercury preservatives in the vaccines were the culprit. Not a single study showed any correlation. Wake up people.

I can't even believe the ineptitude in this video. It has been demonstrated in twin studies that autism is nearly 90% rooted in genetics. Is it such a wonder that 4 of the 7 children have autism when the parents are clearly passing on relatively the same genes to each child?

@butterfly3873 It's a small enough amount and the sole purpose of the vaccine is to help the person build an immunity to it by becoming familiar with the illness so that when they do get it, it won't be as bad. So yes, I'd rather my child get it now in a small, controlled dose than later.

@Francieska most doctors don't drive expensive cars. pay off $250000 of student loans, have a mortgage, kids, work 90+ hours a week and then you can tell them what kind of car they are allowed to have....

Some new research is showing that it's not the vaccines that are given, but rather the tylenol given after the vaccine. @smasherhits - they have done studies, lots and lots of studies about vaccinated kids versus nonvaccinated kids. The only difference is that kids given early vaccinations have a higher incidence of asthma.

This is no proof, also there are people who didn't got vaccinations and DO have autism. I'm not saying that it's impossible, but as long as the theory doesn't have some proof where you can't get around, you can't claim it to be true.

@hpholland Ditto. HarveyKarp is a fraud from the word go. He uses the word immunize and vaccine like they're one in the same. This is simply misleading. Just because a child is vaccinated doesn't mean he/she is immunized. People need to research this from independant perspectives and learn about the advantages of breastmilk over formula.

How about not give 3 different vaccines in one visit? I agree that vaccines help keep disease from hurting us and our children. But to give multiple vaccines at one time? Maybe the body reacts differently if only one vaccine was used. Maybe the multiple number of vaccines given at one time actually causes the body create antibodies that actually start hurting the body. It'll hurt more but I rather come back 4 times to get a separate shot for measles, mumps, rubella and the flu.

Sorry, but your comment is idiotic - and you people need to be told that in plain and simple language, because that's the only way you'll wake up. Thimerosal is NOT mercury....it is an organic compound, a component of which is mercury. Moreover, it is ethyl-mercury, and doesn't bioaccumulate and cause problems like methyl-mercury does.

@Francieska The cause of autism has not been proven. Most vaccines don't have mercury in them. They publish the ingredients, you should look it up. google 'fluvax'

I've had all of my vaccines and I don't have autism and have never had a bad reaction to any of them. nutrition and sanitation definitely helped in saving lives but infectious diseases are still common today because sanitation and nutrition don't stop everything

@Francieska no they're not saying it about everything these days, infectious diseases still exist. do you debate the existence of genes or what? do you know anything about biochemistry? how can there be a genetic predisposition to vaccine damage? people may not have the right immunoglobulin genes or other important genes that control immune respones to the antigens in the vaccine. also, live vaccines can in some cases revert back to virulent form and if you're immunocompromised that could be bad

Selfish? My son was fully vaccinated and after he got 6 vaccines he stopped talking and cried constantly. Now he is 3 and we found he has 6 x the amount of measles in his body. Measles can go to the brain and cause brain damage. My son is in pain. I wish I had been "selfish", as you said
