you're not gonna die. you do however need to accept the fact that this is a "dangerous" sport (at least that's what they tell me) and you ARE going to crash. just stand up, compress the forks, and at the same time hop and give it some gas. this will give you like a 6" wheelie. nothing big but it will get your confidence up. remember no guts no glory.

pull in the clutch in secound gear, give it about half throttle, pull back on the bars and pop the clutch at the same time, if you feel you are going to far back, hit the rear brake, if the front end feels to be falling, give it more gas.
