  • @dogandcattle i just bought a new dc41 and its by far the best vac ive ever had. I also have a kirby....but your right return it before you try it cause some crazy chick scratced her floor......im thinkin i would stop when i saw the first little scratch

    Even if the vacuum did not directly cause the scratch, that situation did not affect the wait time of return service. Anyone who believes otherwise is simply giving the Dyson corporation too much credit. The expectation of good customer service does not qualify one as "stupid" or "lazy." If the vacuum were free, I can see how this would be the case. But it wasn't free, so the investment made in the vacuum demands further provision.

  • Thanks. No Dyson for me. Your video, in addition to multiple other comments and videos stating that Dyson was pure marketing, and not a great vacuum, dissatisfied customers, all lead me to NOT purchase a Dyson. I'm glad I did this research. I have been wanting a Dyson for about 5 years...am ready to purchase, but NO GO. Thank you. I will purchase the Oreck. Check out the comparison video...amazing suction.

  • hi i just brought one to and they suck , before my dyson i have a vax multi function shampoo machine , i have since decided to go dack to vax as my dyson SUCKS .... and not how should....

  • You did the right thing, you have to hit them where it hurts, IN THE POCKET! Let others know about what to expect when there is a problem, it seems CS with Dyson "sucks" and we find that out later when it is too late. Reading up on these machines since we thought of buying one, but this and others reviews, put an end to buying Dyson. Much like SAMSUNG and their CS, but that is another story....

  • I've owned four different dysons. They were all utter SHIT! (Yes, I've learnt my lesson).

  • Maybe the scratch was missed as one is moving forward when they vacuum?

    I've had numerous issues on things breaking on my 07 but it's now 6 years old so maybe that's the way it is.

    I do believe what she has said about the CS in-house there. It's gone south since about 2008. I'll use my until the next repair and then look elsewhere

  • I am just wondering not to sound rude, but why did you keep vacuuming if you saw it was scratching the floor as far as 10 ft? Why didn't you stop vacuuming as soon as you saw it scratch the floor?

  • I don't think they are responsible for your floors unless there was something wrong with the vacuum which would be hard to prove. The waiting time was ridiculous though.

  • I think it truly depends on who you talk to. Not saying they didn't do anything wrong but I would've asked for a manager or speak to the head of Dyson US directly. I'm sorry to hear that happen to you.

  • i got one as a mothers day gift 2 years ago...all i can say, is that i am not happy or even satisfied with it, especially for the money! and i think it is WAY messier than a bag vacuum cleaner! I have a family to support and a home to keep clean, that 450$ could have really been used elsewhere! please, do not waste your money, time, and effort with this piece of crap! and thanks for voicing this video!

  • So what was the reason they did not refund the price of the floors?Did they decide there wasnt anything wrong with the vacuum?Did they ever return it to you?

  • @panaclean775 They said that they could not prove that their product caused the damage to the floors and that there was probably another object stuck in the vacuum that caused it. And they finally returned it.. months later!

  • We are also going through a very frustrating Dyson customer service experience. Our warranty work was to be done in 3 days. It is now 34 days, still no vacuum! We have spent way too much time on the phone with Dyson customer service and the repair center.

  • I just bought a vax instead of a dyson.... they are cheaper than dyson,.and work better too ...dyson are overpriced here in the uk

  • THANK YOU SUSAN - I just moved into my new place and was considering a Dyson. After watching your video, I refuse to buy one. There is TOO much competition out there to put up with a circus company like that !!!! I'll be another one who will say...keep the vacuum, I'll keep my money !
