Saw Queen 3 times - I miss Freddie so much. I am very fortunate but I am as sad as everyone else that he is gone. I stood in front of all of Queen in Atlanta in 1975 backstage waiting for my ride home (friend's mother was a security guard) and I was only 15. I couldn't say anything because I was stunned and I watched them get into their limo and drive away. I kick myself every day for not saying anything. He was beautiful - he was everything that you see in the videos and more.
It's very impressive Freddie's popularity even after his death. I've read lots of teenagers posting comments about this band, and that means, QUEEN will last over the centuries. The best band ever!!!
he did get to go and see we will rock you and when brian may came on he was ammazed as he loved queen and playing guitars that was one of the best nights of his life im so glad he got to see that regards and thanking you again
i want to say thanks for this we played this at my brothers funeral its so ironic as we both used to say the good die young and we would say that we would live to be 100 i guess we were wrong my little child misses her uncle so much so thanking you v much
he has an amazing voice, let us honor him by clicking LIKE!! go to all ur fave Queen vids and click LIKE and comment, its the least we can do as fans :D
Fucking AIDS!! I would give my life, to bring him to life...But I guiess I'm not alone....You were, are and will be the Biggest of the BIGGEST for all the Time....
I read that Brian originally wrote it for Diana, and a few other famous people that had died; but after speaking with Roger, they decided to tweak it, and record it in memory of FREDDIE!!!
@MsLadyRobinath. "No-One But You (Only the Good Die Young)" is a song recorded by the remaining three members of the British rock band Queen following the death of Freddie Mercury. Guitarist Brian May – the writer of the song – and drummer Roger Taylor share lead vocals. The song was released on the album Queen Rocks and it was also released as a single."
@Hvnly777 CONT'D The impetus for the song came after the death of Diana, Princess Of Wales in August 1997, but is largely a eulogy to Freddie Mercury. It was originally written for a potential Brian May solo project, which eventually evolved into the album Another World. He sent the demo of the song to Roger Taylor who according to Taylor himself put it in a drawer and forgot about it.
@Hvnly777 CONT'D After eventually hearing it Taylor suggested that it could be turned into a Queen song. Roger Taylor's contribution was to change the tempo and make the lyrics less specific to Mercury.
The song features only the remaining three members of Queen, the final new recording to be released under the Queen name alone. This is also the last new recording to feature John Deacon, who subsequently retired from public life.
