I would go for Nintendo, they revolutionized gaming with the NES and continue to increase innovation throughout gaming, whether its motion controllers or Touch screen handhold. Also they still maintain the shear brilliance in their franchises whilst others degrade, like Final Fantasy and Sonic. Also take note that they don't really have any vicious fan-bases and if it weren't for them. Gaming wouldn't be any ware it is now. Just remember all the classics; Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid etc.

I may be one in a few, but what about Black Isle Studios? I know that that they don't exist anymore, but you can't deny that they made some great games.
