Hey I was thinking of getting this helmet with a ccm f480 and was wondering if the ccm f480 was for me because I have a more round face than narrow and the rbk5k cage is way to narrow for me so is the ccm f480 for me????

this is my most perferd helmet. It very comfortable and it looks great with or with a visor or with or without a cage. My freind let me wear his bc he got the CCM V10. So he let me use this. I am planing to get a red or black one. I love this helmet. I rate it 5/5! By looks, protection, and just the overall helmet! Also i love the stabelizer and silver insolts!

The reason this helmet is popular with the pros is because a lot of the younger players, around 25 and younger, spent a few years or so in the minors and the AHL and ECHL are sponsored by Reebok and so the players have to use Reebok or CCM outer equipment.

The s17 with a chrome FM480 cage :P sooo dirty and it's a lot more comfortable after you break it in. Or you should go with the 6k, it's better than the 8k it's a lot more comfortable the pads in it are thicker and they feel sooo cumfy

depends if you are a forward who never gets hit or hits then this is the helmet for you but if you one of those defence who hit alot and get hit then go with the 9500...you cant really go wrong with either but i suggest you go by those sortive guidelines

Im not really sure why i find it better. I had the 8K first then got the 6K when i changed teams and i found that it was just more simple. There was no stabilizer bars in it which i liked and the weight difference was barley anything

I currently wear a 6k, however I personally find the 8k much better. The padding in the helmet is much more comfortable and the inner subshell is actually made of a composite material instead of just plastic. I also enjoy the microdial, which provides maximum customization for a superb 360 degree fit. So, how come you find the 6k a better helmet?

8k has the carbon fiber inserts, 6k are plastic ones with a pattern.

8k is a a lot lighter than 6K

just so you know.. encouraging players to self customize their helmets with their own paint will null and void their HECC certification.. Helmets cannot be self modified.

i love it, i tried on all helmets and this one is the most comfortable. It's so fuckin light too it feels great it's more comfortable than some of my hats haha.

The 9500 is the most protective helmet, but this one is the most comfortable, it looks sick too.

yea it was 150 but i got a new cage too so it was around 200 with tax. They are never gonna be that cheap...but then again, why would you ever want a cheap helmet lol
