  • okay im gonna have a pet llama now!

  • The media is freaking out over a pack of wolves roaming in Oregon right now. Conventional sheep ranchers are really stupid. They'll do everything complicated to control coyote populations from poisoning them to shooting from helicopters and waste shitloads of money.

  • So cute!

  • Killing animals just makes me sad like saying no one or thing should be killed the animals are just doing what they normally do don't harm them for that except coyotes but you shouldn't shoot them just for fun I would never think that would be fun that for me is sad:(

  • I really wish more ranchers would use guard animals to protect their livestock instead of trapping, poisoning and shooting coyotes. Coyotes have a place in nature. Without them, rodents would overpopulate everywhere. Rodents are their main food source. I had a pet coyote (here in North Dakota). She had been raised by hand from about 10 days old. One of my coyote-hating neighbors reported us to the game warden who came out and confiscated her and had her euthanized. She was a wonderful pet

  • the coyote is like WTF ARE THESE ABOMINATIONS??!?!?!! IM OUTTA HERE!! lol

  • great video you have here

    might also like

    (smartest coyote in Nebraska)

  • llamas are like sexy sheep ;)

  • What an extremely cool solution. Wonder if these animals could defend against wolves.

  • Ok, now that you have your ATTACK Lama's Whoes going to defend those poor Giraffs against these Killer Lamas??? Doesnt anyone know that one of the only animals on Earth that hunts Giraffs is a Killer Lama??? Ive heard that they pack guns..They have some kind of hidden pouches where they hide like 38s.

  • LAMA RULEZ !!!!!

  • The American sheep industry has been in the dolgrums most of my adult life. Demand for mutton and woll is weak. Plus they have a huge problem with predation. Not just coyotes, but domestic dogs for flocks near town.

  • today they control coyote population, tomorrow they control us

  • As soon as I played this video, the dog next door started barking. o.o

  • I hv that problem with coyotes they killed one of our hens would hv gt more if it wasn't 4 our dog. There slowly losing there fear of people there was even a large dog with them. I've hd my close encounters with them I don't care what people say the can kill u once they gt u down there little cowards will Waite tell your nt watching. Well that's my thought on them lv the donkeys

  • last night i saw coyote down the hill and we cant look at them

  • A gaurd llama? That's adorable.

  • Bah! These coyotes should learn from Wile E. Coyote. Always have an anvil with you!

  • or ya jest go out and buy some greyhound irish wolfhound mixes... we use them to run down coyotes up here in southern MN

  • even i wouldnt f*ck with the llama, look at its face, im pretty sure it hunts coyotes at night.

  • @mikenametaken I think that llamas can even spit at you! They really don't wanna be messed around :D

  • @mikenametaken

A medium to large size male llama can be a serious combatant and many of them have good protective instincts. They can weigh up to 500 pounds. They're agile and reasonably fast. They have 2 claws on each foot and they kick well. The males have sharp fighting teeth back in their mouths that can cut about an inch deep like a razor. They don't just confuse coyotes. They're pretty good at killing them too. :-)

  • llama is cute, hh

  • I knew about guard donkeys, and dogs of course, but guard llamas? They are so cute too. If I get sheep and chickens again I will look into getting guard animals. The coyotes are not afraid of people at all around here, and will walk right up to you. One was menacing my horses when I went out to feed them, and came right up to me. I thought it was going to bite me and kicked it--my lead mare then went after it and chased it off the property. Cougars have attacked my horses too.

  • I think a riffle and a few lessons would be far more efficient, and cheaper, and you never have to worry about them returning. Look people, coyote have no natural predators. So the more food that's available, the more they multiply. Don't be so dam stupid.

  • @commonman80 Who is going to stand there all day with a rifle? Elmer Fudd? Maybe he has a lot of time to spare. His rifle also never seems to run out of bullets.

  • Also, for that matter, the donkey idea is neat, but it does NOTHING to curb the coyote population which, un-checked will continue to explode until packs of coyotes attack herds and overwhelm or even take down the few donkeys that are there. There MUST be effective realistic (and "birth control" is not realistic) methods for controlling the coyote population, not just chasing them away, to have them predate some neighbors herd. Leave the nonsensical touchy-feely in the college classroom.

  • Shes welcome to protect her flock her way.

Humans are here & part of the ecosystem like everything else.

Lastly, folks who don't live in the rural US as I do had best come on out spend more time with a WIDE variety of folks & get a bigger & broader view rather than walking around blinders on looking for the one person who supports their already fashioned narrow opinion. Shooting coyotes is better than poisoning. Years from now we'll see how successful she has been protecting her hard work.

  • I just bought a new home. Its in the foothills outside the city I lived in. I have been here a week...and every night starting in the early evening, before the sun sets,.the coyotes start howling. There are marks on my windows from the them standing on my porch looking in the windows. Even when I am home and making noise. I have to say its unsettling. The distant howls are eerie cool but not, (like right now...lol) them howling just out of sight of my motion detector lights. And the fighting..

  • I say shoot the stupid coyote you commie lib sheep farmer. I cannot believe a rancher protecting her sheep is trying to think of more humane ways to keep yotes away. Besides, yote hunting is fun!

  • It is good to see that a nicer solution has been found for keeping away the coyotes.

  • coyotes are relly small i have like 5 in my yard theyre harmless!!

  • @jijuspiritwalker you must be out west bud because here in atlantic canada the coyotes are about the size of a good sized german sheppard because when they migrated from the parries the inter-bred with wolves so they are like the coyote from hell. two years ago in october of 09 they killed a poor girl who was visitng the maritimes on a musical tour. they also kill our cattle. they are by no means harmless. the ones out here are much larger compared to their prarrie counterparts :P

  • What about the poor coyote? He's gotta eat too. Meep Meep

  • much better then a gun, get a llama

  • You could get an Anatolian Shepard...

  • Llamas rule XD

  • Oh my gosh! That is SOOOO SWEEEET!!! Leave it to the BBC to tell us how to live.

Neat 1/2 way solution. Still does NOTHING to curb the rapidly expanding coyote population. I suppose BBC thinks it better to have coyotes wipe-out some other species and then die of starvation themselves. The only healthy wild animal population is the one with a MANAGED population, "hands-off" is a patently STUPID wildlife management policy.

  • @Bobesocks Maybe if humans didn't get hands on with coyote predators (IE Wolves, etc) we wouldn't have to get hands on with coyotes to..

  • @Bobesocks This is not talking about controlling the population, Its about protecting the sheep. I myself have guard llamas for that same reason. I think you misunderstood.

  • yes there is a way, put tanners mom in the way of where there going and thell go blind!then tie them up and poop on them! lmao

  • wow, that's really cool...love those llamas:)

  • Shoot those mother fuckers

  • @benchmadebob if you wanna do it the trigger happy redneck way.

  • the llama's I've definitely heard of as great guardians for the sheep, but I had no idea donkey's were good at it too.

  • that is pretty cool

  • Bring it on llama!

  • OMG, I LOVE the llama!

  • hahahahahhahahhahah thats a first a fucking guard donkey and llama. I've officially seen it all

  • That attack llama is bad ass.

  • Coyotes are monkey smart. They will find a way.

  • yes and we have chickens and they are

    getting killed by coyotes....

  • @amsl1999

Buy 2 AKBASH or KANGAL, no-one will kill your chickens anymore or mess with you or your family.

  • better then poisoning, shooting, trapping etc.

  • @Cuvac The guard animals just scare them off for awhile. Killing them solves the problem.

  • @sidewindermack

    Do your homework better:

    1. Scaring them off makes the livestock unharmed = problem solved

    2. More predator agressive animals as Kangal and Akbash often kill them

Only killing them and not having guards will not solve, new coyotes will always fill up the empty spots.

If the rednecktaliban hadnt killed the wolf popuation in US there would be no coyote 'problem' .

The problem on this planet are the soon 7 billion cavemen exploiting destroying and consuming this planet.

  • @Cuvac I stand corrected! I did not know that Red Necks were the cause of the coyote problem. Now I know why there is not a wolf problem in the U.S. Thank You!

  • @sidewindermack

The only problem is that rednaecktaliban whiped them out, now slowly returning the biblefagoots dont know how to deal with it and cry WOLF.

  • all needs to eat! i love all animals!

  • Looks like a great solution! And the critics, talking about our "population"...not worth a comment..

  • @axlent123 Really? An American is added to our population every 10 seconds. For every second, a human is born.

  • Such an excellent idea! Awesome!

God bless, protect & keep you safe & your animals safe, in Jesus name, amen.

  • @symillickg Nope I'm straight thanks.

  • Before controlling other animal populations, focus on OUR fucking, annoying, shitty population.........

  • @TheREALSoffish damn right!

  • LOVE iT !

  • CONTROLLING THE PEYOTE COPULATION

  • llamas will murder

  • I would just put down turrets.

  • This is a great idea!!

  • thats it im getting a guard llama for my house!

  • I read somewhere that the Coyote is the most sucessful/adaptive predator on the planet, they even live in LA

  • @Maloner78 thats you and me buddy, we even live in antarctica!

  • @educution lol I meant a natural predator other than humans

  • coyotes are native to north america retard. its just redneck farmers that think they are wronged when they destroy native land, tresspass on wildlifes area and shoot the wildlife when they are not happy with theyre natural instincts.

  • Llama?! I did not know this.

  • when the coyotes came to new england they wiped out the pheasants, most of the rabbits and a fairly large amount of foxes aswell

  • I have to laugh at all of my fellow rednecks BAWWING about Coyotes. I keep predators from scarfing down my chickens, resorting to killing them ONLY as a last means of protecting them. For example, to fend off Hawks, I let the Crows move in. Fight fire with fire.

  • It's spelled livestock not live stalk, but what do you expect from rednecks besides unbelievably stupid spelling errors. Get it? LIVE STOCK, idiots.

  • i have a savage 308 with 150g.its overkill but its going to be fun.when i get about 12 coyotes im going to make a full body coat.with a racoon hat

  • dat mutha fuqa is crazzi as fuq

  • i love killing animasl theres a special place in hell for killing animals for fun and im going there.

  • excellent

  • thats awesome.but id rather shoot em

  • i hope you get shot

  • lamecow21 hasn't been in a situation where the coyotes effect him, prolly loves dogs and only see's a k9 getting whacked by your 22-250 or 270 and takes offence to that. i can see his argument yes, be there is a disconnect there that he does not understand, again, until it effects HIM. he's never witnessed predation, live, and watched a newborn be eaten right after birth, it's ok thou, some folks are just...... misinformed.

  • Nature should always be protected.

  • my 22-250 is pretty efficient, and it doesnt eat any food.

  • how about we save the animals, and shoot the overpopulated people in this world

  • Honestly why people didn't do this from the get go is surprising, it works for herds all over the world so why not the U.S.? I mean when you cull the coyotes all you do is make the problem worse. A declining population causes coyotes to have larger litters and while native prey can feed a normal litter of 2 to 4 but when the have the "super litters" of 6 to 9 the coyotes are forced to go after livestock to feed their pups.

  • Cool info, I never thought animals \would work together like that (at least not grazing animals) Wow, that should be a good strategy combined with the occasional shooting of the bastards, have a good one.

  • eat my shit and choke on it

  • Here in Western Tenness, our rabbit and quail populations have been decimated by coyotes. Gone are the days of quail hunting, and the only way to kill a rabbit these days is with a pack of beagles...I shoot the damn things; I've lost 4 hens and 3 puppies to these animals in the past 5 years....

  • From the Southeast Farm Press:

There are five major culprits that most wildlife biologists point to as reasons for the dramatic drop in quail populations: Loss of quail habitat, intensified farming and forestry practices, succession of grassland ecosystems to forests, overwhelming presence of exotic grasses like fescue that choke out wildlife, and urban sprawl.

  • Nature has an amazing way of balancing predator and prey, so there is little credence in the increase in fire ants or coyote, or egrets or deer or any of the other conventional theories on how one or more species degrades the other — not to the point of near extinction.

  • Ahm...ok. Then explain why there is no more acrage devoted to farmland here in West Tennessee than there was when I was a boy, yet the rabbit and quail population have steadliy DROPPED as the once nonexistant coyote population has RISEN. The rural land here is exactly as it was when I was a boy; no less scrub, no more woodland. I used to hunt rabbits with a slingsot, but now....now you need dogs. Next they'll be saying Kudzu is great for preventing erosion......lol....

  • Maybe the coyotes will start eating our new neighbors, the armadillo.....

  • its ur own fault

  • @lamecow21 Fuck you, troll. Go clean your room before your mommy and daddy get home.

  • ya i should its messy ur mom can get rough

  • Pssshhht......if by my mom you mean your dirty gym sock, then ok....

  • How do you know coyotes killed all the quail, are you oprah?

  • Oh, you know......the fucking Tennessee Department of Wildlife Resources. But hell, they were the ones who INTRODUCED THE THINGS in the first place; what do they know? Obviously there is no correlation between the declining population of ground-rearing wildlife and the exponential increase in the coyote population- anyone with half a brain can see that. It's probably just mad cow disease......

  • Coyotes weren't introduced to the east. they spread east themselves! Are you a rabbit you smuck, the only animals to kill for no reason are humans so coyotes aren't simply killing them, there is another factor involved.

  • coyotes have been moving east since the arrival of the settlers

  • @lamecow21 there has been alot of coyote in pickering

  • the lamma is on guard duty looking around Ha-Ha

  • Interestingly a human and an adult sheep weigh about the same yet humans are seldom attaked by coyotes. If you act like prey, predators will attack you. Don't act like a prey animal and you won't be eaten. The same approach can be used against human predators. Don't act like a scared victim. If you are confident you are scary to them and you have nothing to fear.

  • @CanadiaNecro1 Oh okay go train the sheep then.

  • @CanadiaNecro1 "A human and an adult sheep weigh about the same" Amazing!

  • @CanadiaNecro1

despite the weight, humans are much better fighters than sheeps. humans armed with knives or stone/wooden clubs can kill even tiger, lions, and bears

In the old time, many african fighters do solo lion hunts using no more than basic hand made spears

last year in bc canada, a man killed a grizzly bear with wooden clubs he picked up on the ground when the bear was charging at him

sheeps have no way of fighting back against those things like men do

  • @warset Yeah ! Are opposable thumbs awesome or what?

  • @CanadiaNecro1 You should also consider the fact that coyotes don't have weighing scales, and humans are much taller than sheep. We look bigger to predators. Still, your point is mostly valid. My roommate's cat only harasses one of my cats, the one that looks like he's ready to bolt every time they see each other.

  • @CanadiaNecro1 Well Coyotes are stupid, humans are obviously a lot more fit for fighting than a sheep, I mean I think even most women could kill a coyote, plenty of people are scared of coyotes though.

  • @madax132 Coyotes are not stupid but are very crafty, as much as a dolphin or ape. They are very adaptable and can eat anything, just like humans. The only thing is they are shorter and weaker than us, and also don't have the ability to use a stick to defend themselves. Coyotes have used pack behavior to kill humans. It happened since my last comment. Obviously I underestimated them. Look up "Coyotes kill Taylor Mitchel"

  • @CanadiaNecro1 There was only 1 adult who died from coyotes and that was a 19 year old girl, so they have used pack tactics to kill A human not humans. Trust me coyotes are nothing, my caucasian ovcharka killed a large pack with ease

  • @madax132 A 19 year old woman is still 5 foot tall and over 100lb adult. That's much stronger than a coyote. Though the coyotes in this case were wolf hybrids and were 50 to 70 lbs, a pack of three or four canines that size could take down any human. If you had been on the island that day your powerful dog would have saved you. Too bad Tayor was alone.

  • @CanadiaNecro1 Like I said a lone women is not going to be much of a challenge for a coyote and wolf mixed pack, a coywolf of 70 pounds would arguably have more muscle mass than her. It depends on the human and the coyote pack in question but I say most humans could defend themselves against a coyote pack. It is sad that that happened to her though, I always encourage people in coyote areas to get ovcharkas, excellent species of dog, very loyal and strong.

  • errr.. my loser comment was directed at proxechxo or whatever the fuck his name is.

  • Gaurd Llamas pwn

  • The Llamas!!!!!!!!

  • mmm , the llamas is active compared to the donkey, and the llamas longer neck can spot predators very easily

  • Coyotes are difficult, they are more intelligent then Wolves, and they can adapt.

  • True. Coyotes are not the only predator on the plains though. I made the leftist comment because I lived in England for three years and their (BBC) coverage of almost everything regarding animals was seemingly shot through the Ingrid Newkirk prism. It got to be a little ridiculous.

  • i love coyotes!!!

  • @Ntvtaylor33 Me too

  • One Coyote big deal. They'll come back with a pack and have some Burro and Llama for din din as well as some mutten. Typical leftist feel-goodism from the BBC.

  • actually tripleheshy a burro or llama is a pretty effective guard. in the wild burros chase and attack coyotes. they are much bigger than what they normally consider prey - even in a pack. an angry burro could do a lot of damage to a coyote or a wolf. they are really powerful

  • yes indeed .. but coyotes have been know for eating livestock like cows of course so ... the size dosnt really matter ...

  • this is true. but a cow is pretty docile compared to a bull, say, or a donkey. they are all big but the latter would be much more aggressive. but I really dont know. I'd have to ask an expert, which clearly I am not . lol

  • i should get a lama in my yard lol

  • no just get a gun it works better

  • My Guard Dog does just find guarding my live stock , no need to shoot them

  • fuck we have damn coyotes in this forest lawn place and they come out of the gate and if u think u can scare them away ur wrong cause these ones are use to humans and if u stand there thell stare at u even if u make loud noises it doesent work

  • fuck coyotes

  • Comment removed

  • shoot the damn things theres no limit in oklahoma so kill em and hang em on fence post to scare the others away

  • what is your problem so what if they are pests, does that give you the right to just go ahead and brutally kill and hang them, think about it what if that was you that was killed and hung for the world to see, don't you know that they are smarter then you and MORE SCARED OF YOU then you are of them, if you didn't know that then you'd better brush up on your wildlife info, what do think your allowed to kill a modern day vampire, try thinking before you act

  • lol i wouldnt care wanna know why because i dont have anyting to lose except life which is the thing keeping me alive we kill coyotes because they kill our live stalk its called pest control and when u hang them it scares away the others so shut the fuck up

  • dam stright shoot those things

  • thank you fellow soldier lol well at least 1 person understands

  • maybe you should just shut the f*ck up slip - killing coyotes ? its wrong

  • Lol, you obviously don't know anything about live stalk or farming. You're a city slicker.

  • no i don't know anything about live stock or farming treasure and i don't want to - i do know killing anything is wrong buttmunch :)

  • Wow, how long have you been in this world? Dude, killing and using the thing you kill isn't wrong one bit. God calls us to use his animals for food. Killing isn't wrong if you don't like it. All boys like killing though... You're either a Girl, or a Hermaphrodite. Which one?

  • It isn't wrong! God calls us to slaughter animals to eat. He didn't put them here to look at! Look at all the Meat and shit in the stores and markets. Killing is 100% not wrong if you eat it. Killing for glory is though. They use to use animals for sacrificing of sin back in bible times as well... And, what's ups with all those smiley faces, you got a crush on me or something?

  • yep its wrong dipshit - God gave us dominion over all animals but that doesn't mean you have to treat them in an unkind way - killing IS 100% wrong no matter how you look at it you animal murderer :) and do i have a crush on you ? LOL you're the only one that hasn't understood what ive meant by the smiley faces - no retard don't flatter yourself the smiley faces don't mean i have a crush on you they are meant to be sarcasm at the end of a put down lol

  • You're weird... Really weird... I think you may have problems. Go see a doctor.

  • hehe now that's a clever comeback treasure lol :)

  • Yup, it is thanks. I am blown back by the way you respond to killing. Weird... Plain Weird...

  • um i was making fun of you treasure that wasn't a clever comeback lol and by the one as long as ive been on here ive never been called strange - i may have been called a bitch but never strange - you're the one that's VERY strange you short bus retard :)

  • How can you not think you're not strange? You know what? You are a bitch it's not even worth arguing over something that isn't getting anywhere. And, come on "Short Bus Retard", what kind of comeback is that? LOL

  • oh my gosh give up you dipshit you're a complete moron - you're insignificant not funny not clever - not creative and short bus retard fits you perfectly you douche :)

  • Lol, fucked up pissy underweared cunt hole.

  • oh my what naughty language

just shows that you have no intelligence hehe :)

  • That's right. And actually, you can't call my a douche, you're the ones that uses them!

  • hey i gotta say i never usually throw the towel in on messing with someone and having fun doing it on here but buddy you're weird im not trying to hurt your feelings ive just decided that if you really are 40 there is something seriously wrong with you - no more commenting

  • Nah, I'm 9, I only did that to watch video's on YouTube I wasn't suppose to watch.

  • i feel the same way bout coyots here in ny there is a limit of 5 a day

  • I got a Llama after losing calves and the cows chased it out. It has no objection to dogs or coyotes so I've concluded they are not an answer.

  • a gun is the only good solution

  • yes sir

    sad but true.

  • This IS their natural habitat. Their original one was overtaken by...oh, that's right OTHER HUMANS.

  • I agree humans have been taking over the NATURAL wildlife lands for TOOOOOOOOO long and its time to take a stand make those humans realize what they are doing and the heck out of the wildlife territory, and guess what the less humans engroching on these lands means, there will be a major DECREASE in animal attacks on humans, come on people its not that hard, to realize what you have done and what you doing, when are you going to look back at the destruction that will always be right behind you

  • maybe a combination of the two would work best - if they have a hard time getting food, and are actively being killed they will move away into a more natural habitat - or just die

  • Controlling the Human population.

  • I understand why farmers hate coyotes. However, the problem w/shooting them is that nearly as soon as you start killing them the females breed earlier and has WAY more puppies. My grandpa and his friends all have farms and they don't shoot coyotes because they know what happens thru experience. Farmers need to try and keep their own safe as best they can. Killing coyotes just doesn't work.

  • more to shoot then.

  • I would think that it would be more effective and efficient (and cheaper) to make an occasional purchase of ammunition than to have extra 'guard animals' that need to be taken care of. From what I saw on the video, that coyote got pretty close to the flock in spite of those 'guard animals.'

If I were a rancher, I'm not sure that I could rely on this type of predator protection.

  • well once again let me tell you white folks something. the more you kill them the more they breed. they are smarter then hunters, dont think just because you kill them you won. When a coyote is killed vengeance is taken. ive seen this before too many times and it dont happend right away but it will come when when it hits which is unexpected. there is a purpose for their presence. If your gonna move in their area show some respect. They are not very forgiving, see for yourself hunters.

  • Huh? The point of this video is to explain that it is not necessary to kill coyotes, but to use guard animals to ward them off.

  • if they are so smart then why can't they learn to adapt thumbs and learn how to shoot a gun? lol just kidding

  • Comment removed

  • @pmawarrior Will you please explain how a dead coyote can reproduce?

  • I love coyotes! power to them

  • Coyotes need to be preserved, they are beautiful animals, they are nothing more than dogs, let them be.
