For flossing try this thing called a water flosser its about $35 dollars (that's how much I paid) and its basicly this water gun type thing that gets between you teeth and flushes the stuff out. Its great since I have braces.

hi jarmaine, love you, just wanted to add , that usually your gums hurt when flossing if you're not flossing regularly or correctly, its because theres bacteria stuck beneath your gums causing your gums to be inflamed. You should go down beneath the gum on either side of the tooth not just between the teeth. And yes your dogs mouth is cleaner than your mouth, sadly humans mouths or one of the dirtiest places.(im a dental hygienist)
