Toyota uses VVTI which advances and retards the intake cam on most models, some have it in intake and exhaust. Toyotas VVTLI does the same as VVTI plus uses a secondary cam profile for high rpm use. Hondas VTEC uses a larger cam profile for high rpm use. Many all-out drag Hondas will use a VTEC engine but eliminate the VTEC function and use a very agressive cam profile. Maybe you should learn the facts before you go and try to be an E-thug!

I've done more than a few valve adjustments, timing belts, LSD install, a tranny rebuild, clutch replacements, axle replacements, tranny swaps, etc, etc. Never had to replace broken parts because I've never had an engine that failed.

Also by physics, it does increase the intake pressure, because NO2 expands very rapidly, creating more mass that displaces the original aspirated air.
I did say it was an oxidizer didn't I? And yes the N2O is forced under it's own pressure into the intake manifold, but it does not cause a forced induction of the intake charge into the cylinder. Because the N2O only DISPLACES the intake charge it doesn't actually add much to the pressure of it.
I get what you're saying, but unfortunately forced induction isn't defined by the intake pressure, it's defined by any oxygen provided to a cylinder that was achieved by means other than it's own natural volumetric vacuum.
If that were the case though, it'd definitely give anyone in the racing biz a sneaky advantage.

Cool. Point is that the intake charge is not being forced into the cylinder by any mechanical device, the engine is still relying on atmospheric pressure to force the intake charge into the cylinder. It's still considered naturally aspirated to most in the racing world.
The thing I missed about these 9 second Hondas is that they are in an all motor class, not just a naturally aspirated class. No N2O is allowed.
Look up NonsoundFlux at Cardomain, I have a GSR Sol with most of my main parts listed there, other than mods I don't leak to competition. It runs steady mid-10's every time.

If you really think that there aren't any 10-11 sec cars that AREN'T daily driveable then you have ALOT to catch up on. There are guys with cammed LS1's that are in the 11's and drive everyday to work. That is on LS1Tech, btw.
Btw, the fastest street legal car is a 6 sec Vette driven by Rod Saboury. Ran that time on street tires.

That goes for alot of Foxbody Mustangs as well. Hell, I saw a 9 sec Dodge Magnum SRT8 and the guy who drives it takes his kids to school in it haha.

Also, a 4th gen F-Body or Foxbody could be way cheaper than the 10 sec turbo import you specified. Foxbody for sure.

This LS1 doesn't need a 17:1 compression ratio and 11k rpms to do it either.

Your an idiot, no Honda puts out that much stock, unless it's an 2010 Accord. 2010 Honda Civic Si - 197-hp, 2.0-Liter, DOHC i-VTEC® 4-Cylinder Engine, Thats straight from the site. And I'm sure a 1.8-Liter would put less down. And that is at the crank. Maybe 150 the wheels.

Toyota uses VVTI which advances and retards the intake cam on most models, some have it in intake and exhaust. Toyotas VVTLI does the same as VVTI plus uses a secondary cam profile for high rpm use. Hondas VTEC uses a larger cam profile for high rpm use. Many all-out drag Hondas will use a VTEC engine but eliminate the VTEC function and use a very agressive cam profile. Maybe you should learn the facts before you go and try to be an E-thug!

Anyway, yes I am retarded, apparently there are some NA Hondas putting up these kinds of numbers. How they are doing this is beyond me, I suppose with enough N2O anything is possible /=0P. Also I have owned and worked on Hondas (as well as many other brands) for the past 10 years. I've done everything from oil changes to whole engine swaps.

there ARE tons of N/A hondas running 10's, And no they are not using n20, because N/A means naturally aspirated, which is no forced induction i.e. turbo, n20, supercharger etc.

Now YOU'RE the retard. First off there are not tons of NA Hondas running 10s in the 1/4, there is more than a few yes, but not tons. Second N2O in NOT forced induction, it does not raise the pressure of the intake charge, it only acts as an oxidizer. Also I seriously doubt ANY engine around 2 liters is going to make enough power to run 9s or 10s in the 1/4. If they do PROVE IT.

I've done more than a few valve adjustments, timing belts, LSD install, a tranny rebuild, clutch replacements, axle replacements, tranny swaps, etc, etc. Never had to replace broken parts because I've never had an engine that failed.

PS, I know you don't care, but for the record Nitrous Oxide induces an exponential amount of unnaturally acquired oxygen in to the motor by means of a mechanical force;
By that literal principle alone, containing the words 'forced' and 'induction' (not to mention by physics, engineering, and social principles), NO2 is considered forced induction.
Also by physics, it does increase the intake pressure, because NO2 expands very rapidly, creating more mass that displaces the original aspirated air.

I did say it was an oxidizer didn't I? And yes the N2O is forced under it's own pressure into the intake manifold, but it does not cause a forced induction of the intake charge into the cylinder. Because the N2O only DISPLACES the intake charge it doesn't actually add much to the pressure of it.

Displacement occurs when mass is added, requiring all gases in an enclosed space to condense, increasing the total pressure. It's not significantly higher inside the manifold because it's expanding cold (versus hot like from a compressor), but psi inside the cylinder at TDC is equal to that achieved from an external compressor.

Cool. Point is that the intake charge is not being forced into the cylinder by any mechanical device, the engine is still relying on atmospheric pressure to force the intake charge into the cylinder. It's still considered naturally aspirated to most in the racing world.
The thing I missed about these 9 second Hondas is that they are in an all motor class, not just a naturally aspirated class. No N2O is allowed.
