  • Now i'm thinking, should i break into a church on next sunday with an ak47 or wait for a plasma rifle to be invented? I can't seem to find out which one would kill more shitbelievers...

    Wait, what?

  • @Adrenalin844 a piece of advice DONT DO IT ! Killing non-combatants is wrong and besides you dont want to use christianity against christians do you. You dont want to be another bible thumping brievik or hitler. In due time religion will join alchemy and astrology in "The museum of the ignorance of mankind".

  • @scientiavictoria a piece of advice GET A SENSE OF HUMOUR!

Even though i'm no believer, it was still a joke...

  • @Adrenalin844 Why do you feel such hatred for people who are filled with Jesus' love?

  • @popcornluvver that's a joke, get it? you get it right? no, wait, you don't get it, or maybe... do you get it or not? do you get the joke?

    seesh...

  • there was so much kinetic energy lost by the time the chalk hit the ground. no wonder it didn't break.

  • This is great. I was worried for a moment, but was pulled through. There is another reason the chalk didn't break. The dean put carpet on the floor.

  • Whoever you are, your not funny. Your a real big idiot if you actually believe in zombies. Wow wasted 10 seconds of my life that I could have been praising the LORD and not making another sin for myself by reading your crap.

  • i only want to say a few things "BACK,BACK FOWL BEATS!" anf "FOOL!" (hehe fool....)

  • Masterpiece of perspective!

  • 283 people missed the DISLIKE button ! lol :D

  • Given your nickname I assume you believe in satan... in that case, you should believe in God right?..

Although the story you are mocking was clearly made up, I don't believe it is the correct attitude for you to answer the way you did. In any case we all have free will. But I think its incorrect to judge christians on a story. although many christians may seem nosy and annoying, the true teachings Jesus gave were to love and communicate, never to impose.

    Jesus loves you

  • JFRP10

Yes, jesus loves u....and if u don't love him back, you'll suffer eternal torment....but he loves u, yes he does!

It's not about an innocent story Xians made up. Such "pranks" can get out of hand. Look at Creationism. Xians made that one up too, but there's nothing innocent about it. Then we have Xians & Jews of old, who made up stories for their bible books. The story of Original Sin is a perfect example.

So, I wouldn't trivialize the acts of Xians. Story telling has become a habit.

  • @JFRP10

    1) Belief in "satan" doesn't impose any belief in "God" because all "satan" means is "accuser" and refers canonically in the Old Testament to multiple people, several angels, and even God in some instances if you want as much consistency as possible.

    2) One's username can refer to interests, the channel, some type of humor, or even nonsense.

    3) "the true teachings Jesus gave were to love" Which is why there's Matthew 10:34, Luke 22:36, Mark 16:16, and many others EVEN IN THE NT!

  • @onijester56 ummmm to much but thank you

  • Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat video, Satan.

  • Guys...what are your motivations behind arguing? To make the other person feel stupid by criticizing their beliefs? Let it go guys. Even if religion may not be real, it still serves an important function for many people. It keeps people socially bonded with their communities, provides therapy for those who are in desperate situations, and/or a feeling of duty and fulfillment in their lives. Why negatively and so cruelly criticize believers of faith to see the world through atheist eyes?

  • @ChokeYourChicken

Believing something because it makes you feel good and not because it is true does not lead to a healthy lifestyle. For example:

Alcohol keeps people socially bonded and provides comfort for those who are stressed. Is it good for you? Being in the army instills duty, builds character, and forms cooperative skills in people, but is organized killing right?

The criticism of religion isn't that it doesn't provide some benefits; the problem is it isn't real, so why believe it?

  • @coreygames -_- lol..

  • @ChokeYourChicken

"what are your motivations behind arguing?" Of course the extent of the answer depends on which strength you apply to "arguing"; both debating and preaching are in fact forms of 'argumentation'. But, simply: to dispell ignorance. As a corollary, I personally do it in an attempt to STRENGTHEN the arguments FOR even the most extreme God.

"it still serves an important function for many people" And causes harm to just as many people.

    (cont)

  • (cont)

"It keeps people socially bonded with their communities" So do Fascist, Communist, Socialist, Alcoholic, Nomadic, and many other lifestyles. Of course so do Politics, Cartoons, Theater, Music, Literature, and even Technology. Your point?

"provides therapy for those who are in desperate situations" A temporary, unstable method of therapy will almost always lead to more harm. If it propagates unreasonably slow then WHEN it falls, instead of one it WILL take HUNDREDS. If fast...

    (cont)

  • (cont)

"a feeling of duty and fulfillment in their lives" And you need an invisible friend to give you meaning? Your family can't? Your lover can't? Your pets can't? Your hobbies can't? Your actual, flesh-and-blood friends can't?

Additionally what the fuck "fulfillment" could an ETERNAL soul give? It in fact removes so much meaning from the afterlife that it drains this life and all previous lives completely of any meaning that it could have even been construed to give.

    (cont)

  • (cont)

"Why negatively and so cruelly criticize believers of faith to see the world through atheist eyes?"

The truth hurts. Deal with it.

The truth hurts. Deal with it.

Skepticism is in fact not atheism. Also, "atheism" don't have a collective "vision" because it is merely a LACK OF BELIEF. You wouldn't refer to non-stamp-collectors as "[seeing] the world through [common] eyes", would you?

And, if you didn't get it any of the previous times: The truth hurts. Deal with it.

  • @onijester56 ...what? LOL

  • @ChokeYourChicken

I've answered you "question". I've destroyed the claim that religion is the only thing able to provide social cohesion and personal fulfillment. And I've removed your ability to conflate "skepticism" and "criticism" with "atheism". Your entire comment has been dealt with and yet you ignore it.

So instead of demonstrating your ignorance and implying your inability to understand even simple concepts, deal with the points raised. Or shut up.

  • @onijester56 iigh brooo i juss hope you may find peace in whatever you believe

i can't preach to you yet cuz i haven't confirmed my faith in christ but i'm starting to open up my heart little by little and some miraculous changes are happening. whatever it is you believe, I hope it can lead you to peace and satisfaction. thanks anyways bro.

  • It's not as "emotionally moving" without the shit music by All American Rejects and Avril Lavigne.

  • lmao at gnarled horns and jagged teeth...I wonder, do people actually believe this took place? I mean the original story. How ridiculous.

  • Can't stop laughing! 2:33 =D!

  • yeah sub standered homeschooling ! XD

  • Funny. But...where's the music?

  • This video has been added to your Favorites. HILARIOUS, just perfect

@redsiren100 you could be being sarcastic but just incase you don't know this is supposed to be satirical, because its so outrageous.

  • This video was about as stupid as every other piece of Christian perspective ever recited or forced down someone's throat. Of course the proffesor's name isn't mentioned, that would allow for truth and credibilty. Two major things Christians are always without. But then again this faith comes from a ong line of lies, propaganda, ignorance, rewritten drafts and false promises.

  • @redsiren100 this is making fun of a video this should keep us all thinking.

  • @redsiren100 nvm, i understand what your saying lol

  • @redsiren100 First of all, this was not a Christian video, considering the mockery and questions of why we should believe in God. Second, we don't need to name people in stories, that's not the point. The message of the story is all that matters. And third, how could you say all those things about Christianity? Have you ever been to church? Have you ever actually tried to learn God's word and what he does for us? From this, probably not.

  • i saw the original video, so this is funny

  • Im Catholic

    But this is true

  • @TheKenny4292 make god look bad? news flash, he does it all by himself. he really doesnt need help from us...

  • @TheKenny4292 people from having to think for themselves and from using common sense.

  • To hell with God.

  • @SuperFantasticFox If I were a person who didn't quite understand God's word, my response would have been, The same to you. But since I have Christ in my heart, I will say this, you have probably been through stuff to make you believe that God did this purposely to you and you don't understand why. Now I'm not saying I know all about your life, but this is the feeling I get when reading your comment. God ALWAYS has a plan for us. Though we may not understand, there is a reason for everything.

  • @popcornluvver I'm glad you're so wise. I'm sure your penis is also quite magnificent to behold. Fuck you.

  • He hated fetuses the second most. that might be the best sentence ever. i had a good belly laugh at that.

  • It's ironic that we laugh (myself included), yet at the end of the day, isn't that what we're doing? Bash others because our views are different?

I was actually told, by a "friend", that I was possessed by a demon because I didn't believe and told me to read the bible every night so I wouldn't go to hell. Ouch.

My brother is Christian and I'm athiest. But he's not chasing after me with holy water yelling, "The power of Christ compels you!"

Why? Because he respects that we all have OPINIONS.

  • Glory to God, from everlasting to everlasting.

  • i dont belive in god,and never will, who is the same??

  • @TheKenny4292 are you serious? wow, you're a real apologist! or are you a an Atheist being sarcastic?

  • Is there a lesser satan?

(if not, I call dibs, that's an awesome nickname)

  • idiotic very lame story,

  • idiotic

  • ohh and if you reaaly are atheist?? can you explain to me y u post something that talks bout God?? i thought asshole like yal shouldnt think about God or cares if he exist or not..fuckn moron...

  • @polyramz44 Offended much?

  • fuck satan fuck atheist fuck every1 that dont believe in God and fuck yal opinion......wat u should do is get ya ass off youtube and do something productive...oh and fuck you the greater satan...

  • @polyramz44 Yes let's all follow poly's example by getting off youtube and do something productive. How about a course in four letter words or Chatspeak, or is that Tardspeak poly is using. Whatever it's called, let's all raise our intelligence to this level! *OFF* of Youtube, just like poly.

  • @polyramz44 Well I would like this comment, but the "f" word being tossed around, kind of counters any means of sticking up for God. Being a Christian means, leading by example.

  • your very arrogant in the way you describe people if your gonna insult some one be honest and not say "he hated fetuses the most" and if your gonna steal from a stolen story at least be correct your very pompus and you dont make christians look good but a bunch of word twisting liars

  • @shadowshifter7 Because that is one very long sentence, it's hard to understand. This video is a parody, not an attempt to make Christians look good.

  • I will pray for you ...

  • @cccjsw great and while your at it, could you mention i want an SSC Ultimate Aero? A blue one. With a leather interior and a SAT Nav.

  • @Asadorngasm a flawed reasoning my friend.......if worldly goods are all that you are after then this might be why you have issues....

  • @cccjsw your the one randomly praying for people you dont even know you freak! on top of that, when you say youll pray for them, what are you praying for? what are you asking god to do for them? nothing. i gave you something to ask for me. you should be grateful dipshit.

  • @cccjsw Well we would sell our worldly goods and give the money to the poor, but according to the majority of American Christians, God hates socialism, and loving worldly goods keeps the economy going.

  • @cccjsw @cccjsw it didnt inform me of your reply.. worldly goods? there is no other life numbnuts! your fairy land ceases to exist and when you die your not going anywhere except 6ft under in your own little coffin, or your going to go to fire... but it ends quick and whats left of you goes on the top shelf in a flower pot. you think too much into your bedtime stories. you fail to separate fact from fantasy. heres something that will crush your spirit, santa isnt real either. get over it.

  • @Asadorngasm One day my friend you will see...so what you believe that we just somehow came together as a earth AND BOOM POW....people were made...and now were just on earth for no reason...? Everything has to come from a creator...your reasoning is more flawed then mine if you believe that...

  • @cccjsw well then its a good thing your theory that evolution is the adam and eve theory minus god is not how it really is numbnuts. learn about something before you try to force your bible theories on it, maybe youd be smart enough to be Atheist. Look up the evolution theory. Humans did not magically poof into existence, and btw, thats what you believe about god, adam, eve, earth, ect. so when you called it stupid, you called your own beliefs stupid, way to go twat.

  • @games4me4 "You implied the story wasn't true. It's too unique to make up." Bullshit. The story has been going around in various forms for nearly a century, *at the least,* and *that* actually has documentation to back it up. The notion that it ever happened in the first place has *no* witnesses whatsoever.

"Even if it's not true, what's wrong with a touching parable?" The "touching parable" spreads a false image of USC as catering to bigoted atheists. Wouldn't *you* mind *libel,* genius?

  • That was Awesome!!! I hate that first story and the mindless babble it causes most Christians to spew out of their mouths. I'm a christian, and I'm give this video thumbs up.

  • haha amazing video. Sadly it will have no effect at all on ignorant Christians.

  • @AK47METALLICA Does USC have a medical school? Maybe I'll donate my body to the one closest to them. Where my *body* goes after it dies will have a lot more impact than anywhere you think my *soul* can go.

  • Can't belive how funny this is xDD especially the BOING, BOING, BOING part xD i realise you made it so long ago but you're a fricken' genius xD

  • i had to move schools cuz i sayd to my religion teacher that i think all this is bullshit, i dont aprove of slavery slaughter rape etc.. then he sayd that i will burn in hell and fail his calss so i had to change schools ( fucking christians)

  • @VelvetTearsNana catholic school?

  • God Bless You.

  • @gbrwashere22 why are you giving me the order to bless him? child, i am god, you are infidel. i am all powerful, you are mistaken. you will burn!

  • get a new user name

  • @rc8rsracer get a new life.

  • Dunno if this is satire or irony, but the name TheGreaterSatan doesn't prove he/she's a Satanist because this video is sponsoring Atheism >_>

  • Im a Christian Catholic, and i actually found this to be humorous. Satire is one of the funniest things in comedy. I actually dont see the point of complaining, the story is just a parody. If any christians are offended, they probably shouldnt be watching this. Thanks for making me laugh though =]

  • Thats HILARIOUS!

  • Comment removed

  • @airhead4423 What pissed me off was that so many people actually believed it really happened (even though it was proved to never happen), let alone could be possible.

  • Bwaah, What about letting people believe what they want for a change? All sides are trying to convert each other, and it's really quite tiring.

  • @Lundix Producing a video doesn't stop people from believing as they wish. The problem with the story this video has parodied is that it amounts to libel, since it spreads a false image of the University of Southern California. Spreading that belief is harmful to USC's reputation. You're right; christians try to use stories like that to convert, but converting by spreading libel is wrong *and* illegal, so I support the effort to fight it.

  • Atheists are just concerned with putting down religeon because its the way they think and your wrong if you don't agree. ( read all the comments on this vid and you'll see) Christianity is more than "Church church GOD!" Its something to fall back on.. People can pray during hard times and they can feel like someone is looking over them and feel better if they know their mother that just past away is in heaven. And the whole world worships the same God ( muslims jews christians) except your 15%.

  • @MrBIGM4C christians do more of the "converting" than atheists. atheist leave other religons be, you christians get pissed when something isnt what you think or someone doesnt believe and you try to convert or use hate, this video is against atheists and thats why we use hate speech, and anyone with half a brain could figure out that christianity cancels itself out

  • @Asadorngasm Being a christian requires faith .. if you didnt need that and a christian could go out and say "God if your real make this tree wither and die" and it happen every one would believe. How does Christianity cancel itself out ... tell me if you have "half a brain".. and tell me where in my last comment did i say anything about conversion? I respect what you believe but i dont appreciate people talking bad about what i believe in..

  • @MrBIGM4C "Atheists are just concerned with putting down religeon because its the way they think and your wrong if you don't agree." "the whole world worships the same God ( muslims jews christians) except your 15%." actually, you are mistaken. muslims believe in muhamid, wicken believe in that indian god with the nipple piercings, not to mention agnostics just believe in a higher power not a god. and your wrong. atheists are 48% of the world. meaning we are the largest religious group out there

  • @Asadorngasm You don't do anyone any favors when you have your facts wrong. Mohammad is not a god to muslims, but a prophet. The god they worship is Allah, which is supposed to be "the god of Abraham," meaning it is the same god as that worshiped by jews and christians.

  • @Asadorngasm As for wicca, it is duotheistic; wiccans (note the spelling, please; it's a religion, not a basket weaving) worship two deities, to which they simply refer as "the Goddess" and "the God." Although you are right that these deities have no connection to christianity, they don't have any connection to hinduism, either, which is rampantly polytheistic, having three main godheads (not two), numerous lesser gods, and family deities that number in the millions.

  • @Asadorngasm As for agnosticism, you're way off base. Maybe some self-described agnostics you happen to know believe in higher powers, but the term simply refers to a person who makes no claim to know for sure whether the divine exists or not, and who believes that it is impossible to ever know for certain one way or the other.

  • @Asadorngasm Agnosticism claims no belief system of its own, and can, in fact, apply to multiple belief systems. There are agnostic jews and agnostic christians, for example, who *believe* in a god but don't claim to *know* for sure whether he exists; there are agnostic atheists who *believe* that there is no god but don't claim to *know* this or to be able to prove it to others. Agnosticism is a state of knowledge (or rather the lack of it), not a state of belief.

  • @Asadorngasm Oh, as for atheists, just because you can apply a statistic to their numbers (where's your source, by the way?) doesn't mean they're an organized, "religious group." Atheists believe that there is no god, but that doesn't mean we've formed a religion around it. Religion requires faith in the supernatural in some form or another (even some sects of Buddhism that don't believe in any gods per se still have faith in the power of their souls to reincarnate supernaturally, for example)

  • @PrimeSoup religion is what ur view on how we came into existance. it in no way HAS 2 have faith (btw if it need faith to believe in, then obviously its fake. "the toothfairy loves u, but you need faith to believe it) my source is the U.S census. when asking christians Atheists, Agnostics what their religion is and "do u believe everything in the bible? do u know what your religion is? do you believe in god just not religious stories or no god at all" christianity went from 40% to 15% of america

  • @Asadorngasm "[M]y source is the U.S census. ... [C]hristianity went from 40% to 15% of [A]merica." I assume you mean, "of Americans." During what years? You must be specific when citing sources. Any statistic that changes from 40% to 15% means one thing if it happened over 10 years (one census period) and something quite different if it happened over 200 years (twenty census periods). You must give enough information that your source can be checked, that others can find the same table.

  • @PrimeSoup over the past 3 years.

  • @Asadorngasm I find that hard to believe, since (1) the US census is measured only once every ten years and the 2010 census data has not been published yet, making 2000 the latest census data available, which (if my math is correct) was *not* within the last three years, and (2) the US census does not measure religious identification in any case. Do you have a URL to share your actual source?

  • @Asadorngasm "religion is what ur view on how we came into existance." Wrong. Many religions do have creation legends, but those legends are in no way the be-all and end-all of a religion. If you believe otherwise, you must not have had much exposure to any in particular.

  • @Asadorngasm "[Religion] in no way HAS 2 have faith..." If you want the term to mean the same thing that it means when any document of consequence (such as the first amendment) refers to it, then it does. The idea of "freedom of religion" also means "freedom FROM religion," but ONLY when the term refers to that in which people have faith. If it doesn't, then "religion" just means a moral code, and you can't escape that when a nation's laws are based on one.

  • @PrimeSoup actually, America is in no way founded on religion. No, that does not mean religion is just a moral code. Religion is "a set of beliefs concerning the cause and nature of the universe". do some research.

  • @Asadorngasm I never said that America was founded on religion. What I said is that when our laws *refer* to *religious freedom,* it has a particular idea of what the word "religion" means in the first place, and it does *not* refer just to creation stories any more than your latest definition of the term does ("nature" and "origin" are two different words, genius). I have done all the research required for this discussion. *You* need to work on your reading comprehension.

  • @PrimeSoup and i didnt say origin. i read the exact definition of religion. look it up. learn to read.

  • @Asadorngasm I already know how to read. That's how I know that you *did* refer to origins. Quote: "[R]eligion is what [your] view [is] on how we came into [existence]." If you wish this conversation to continue meaningfully, please keep up with it instead of relying on a dictionary in place of actual thought.

Now, if you're done with nitpicking tangents, I ask you again: Where is your statistical source for your claim that christians make up only 15% of the American population?

  • @PrimeSoup nitpicking? lol you took one of my comments and combined it with a completely different one. dont even try to cheat to attempt to make yourself look smart. religioustolerance . org/chr_tren and that was made a couple years ago. on episode 623 i believe it was, of The Atheist Experience, they say it. Now provide a real argument instead of creating your own competition and providing retarded remarks to make yourself look like you know what your talking about. its pathetic.

  • @Asadorngasm Cheat? Completely different comments? You said the words; they were part of the same conversation as this one. Do you think I'm not going to refer to what you've said just because you can't keep track of what comes out of your asshole? This didn't start about me at all, but as a correction to *your* erroneous references to specific faiths that you know nothing about. OOPS! I referred to other comments again! I'm not supposed to do that! Waah! It's not fair! Get a grip.

  • @PrimeSoup you combined 2 of my comments but left out other parts to make it look like i said something out dipshit. thats like me taking from your comments. you said "I ask you again, for your, asshole" well then, that makes you gay.

  • @Asadorngasm you combined 2 of my comments but left out other parts to make it look like i said something out dipshit. thats like me taking from your comments. you said "I ask you again, for your, asshole"

... except that that's *not* what I did at all. Go and read your own comments; I didn't splice two of your comments together at all like you've just implied that I did; I quoted you nearly verbatim; the only changes I made were to your atrocious spelling.

  • @Asadorngasm Your URL, btw, is producing a "File Not Found" error, but I can at least tell that the site is *not* managed by the US Census Bureau. How about some stats that actually *are?* They are not from the census itself, but from the Bureau's annual Statistical Abstract that projects data on more than what the census asks (including religion): census . gov/compendia/statab/2010/tables/10s0075.pdf

The sample projects that christians made up 76% of the US population, not 15%, in 2008.

  • @PrimeSoup the site was made by the census. it was not found because you forgot to take the 2 spaces out from around the .

  • @Asadorngasm "the site was made by the census. it was not found because you forgot to take the 2 spaces out from around the ."

No, I didn't. I removed the spaces; I also added the hypertext-transfer-protocol and world-wide-web switches necessary to complete the URL. I'm hardly illiterate when it comes to using my web browser. I didn't find the site because it's not there, and I hardly think that site calling itself "religious tolerance" with an org domain would be run by a government agency

  • @PrimeSoup Correction: Forgive the mistyping; the "religioustolerance" *site* exists; I found that fine when I checked. It's the specific "chr_tren" page that my browser couldn't find. I maintain my skepticism over a government agency publishing a non-profit-domain site, however. If the site was truly managed by the US Census Bureau, one would expect the data to be incorporated into their government site, but what I find from *there* suggests completely opposite conclusions.

  • @MrBIGM4C "I respect what you believe but i dont appreciate people talking bad about what i believe in..." + "Atheists are just concerned with putting down religion because its the way they think and your wrong if you don't agree." = hypocrite. it cancels itself out this way... "god wants you to be happy" "all gays will be put to death" if the same sex makes you happy and "god" made you that way, it cancels itself out. i would say more proof of cancellation but im out of space and i need to go.

  • @MrBIGM4C I am an atheist, and damn proud of it. You are stereotyping atheists. Many are not about putting down religion (learn to spell it if you are going to type it). I myself do not care what you believe but you just made a major stereotype, and that bothers me. Do NOT make that mistake again

  • ummmm.... u need to do some, wait a LOT of research on the religions u wrote about, they do not worship the same God

  • @mangagirlk2 are you retarded? you need to grow some, wait a LOT of brain. Atheists don't believe in god at all. What you said doesnt even make sense. How about you think before you talk.

  • every single person in my family is religious, i am the only atheist and of course i am the only smart one

  • ask God to forgive you and enter your life, when he's called upon he will change your life. undescribable peace and comfort! dont be stuck in your ignorant ways, take a chance, its only your soul at stake

  • @TheCattracker Ask USC to forgive you for believing the lies spread about them in the name of your god. Don't be stuck in your hypocritical ways; there's only your integrity at stake.

  • HAHAHA ATHEISTS EAT FEASES (dont know how to spell)

  • @littleemo1997 "FEASES (dont know how to spell)"

    Hallelujah!

  • Cool vid.

  • well said

  • this guys an asshole ... not funny and abviously void of a soul. you dumb fuck I HOPE you go to hell with the rest of you uneducated athesists

  • @mrbasketballsmith Ummmm, wrong. It's well established that on average, Atheists are MORE educated than Theists. All the studies show it. The dumber a person is the more likely they are to be religious. Not only that, religious people are more likely to have poor morals. Isn't that odd?

    /watch?v=XgPdsAGvQZg&feature=subtivity

    /watch?v=4EWyD34FxmI&feature=grec

  • @warren52nz I don't know where you get the information that religious people are more likely to have poor morals, but I'd have to agree. I've been in church all my life and it's full of evil people. And a few good ones, but very few.

  • @Beachangel1221 "I don't know where you get the information that religious people are more likely to have poor morals"

You can Google it, it's true. For example, in the US the prisons are way WAY over-represented with Christians even when you take into account the ratio of Christians to Atheists in the general population. It's also well established that the smarter you are the more likely you are to be an Atheist. Says a lot! Google religiosity & IQ. Scientific American did an article on it.

  • @warren52nz did they take into account how many of those inmates because Christians after they were put into jail? I also read a few articles on what you stated and it seems that the only reason that atheists are considered more intelligent is because they are "free thinkers" least thats just my general opinion...although I will pray for everyone including you warren52nz...

  • @cccjsw Well that's a good point. I think at least some of the studies checked that out and still got a significant result.

But it highlights the REAL purpose for religion, a crutch, something to lean on when you're down and out. Alcoholics Anonymous uses religion this way too.

A trip to a counsellor would work as well though. It's all placebo.

I'm perfectly happy with my eyes wide open and the ability to change my mind in the face of new evidence... something that is denied to the religious.

  • @warren52nz well that is your right to have your own opinion....and I am glad that you are at least intelligent in your conversations....and I hope all works out for you well...but I will still pray for you and hope that one day you can see where my religion comes from and what you are missing...

  • @cccjsw They already know from thorough testing that prayer doesn't work so feel free to pray for or against me, it won't make any difference. But I can feel the love so that's good, thanks.

  • @warren52nz "For example, in the US the prisons are way WAY over-represented with Christians even when you take into account the ratio of Christians to Atheists in the general population."

If that's the only thing upon which such a conclusion is based, then it loses much credibility to my thinking, since a straight survey wouldn't take "jailhouse conversion" into account. What would be more relevant for supporting such a conclusion would be the representation at the time of the crimes.

  • @PrimeSoup Fuck, never mind. Someone already mentioned this. Excuse the haste.

  • @PrimeSoup Yes that's a good point but notice that in this example at least, if that's the case then religion is a pure crutch and in the wider context it's often if not always an insurance policy for our certain death.

Anyway the statistic is consistent with a more general finding that the more religious a country is, the higher the violent crime rate is and the lower the morality as defined by common sense.

    It starts at about 1:00

  • @warren52nz Nice vid; I agree with pretty much all of the opinionated comments, though it's a shame that the cited numbers lack a source more often than I'd like, otherwise I might be able to agree with those, too.

I'm not one to argue that faith is a meaningful thing (seeing as how I don't believe that, lol); I just get skeptical when statistical comparisons start getting thrown around (as if people couldn't tell from my ongoing exchange with Asadorngasm).

  • @PrimeSoup Yes I thought the same thing, in fact, though I'm sure AronRa wouldn't make them up, that's just not the way Atheists work. A little time on Google should turn up the references.

It's not hard to believe though. Look at the most violent, immoral countries in the world and then consider how incredibly religious its inhabitants are.

By way of contrast, look at Sweden, very Atheistic, very laid back and winning almost all contests on quality of life surveys and related categories.

  • @warren52nz While I have known many atheists who would rather talk out of their asses than admit that they don't know something, I agree that that doesn't smack of the case here. I still hesitate to equate correlation with causation when it comes to religion and crime rates; one of AronRa's tables, for example, lists catholics as the most represented in prisons, but that might be explained by hispanic gang population. The statistics may simply reflect cultural background rather than mentality.

  • @PrimeSoup Yes I agree on the Catholic thing (however Catholics arguably have the most violent history of all the Christian sects).

Anyway, if the studies do nothing more than squash the notion that Atheism is an evil mindset then that's good enough for me. I always hear comments like "there can be no morality without religion" which of course is a load of dingo's kidneys. 8^)

Religion has been responsible for more and bloodier wars than anything in history. Atheists have nothing to fight for.

  • @warren52nz 'I always hear comments like "there can be no morality without religion" which of course is a load of dingo's kidneys. 8^)'

    Agreed.

  • @mrbasketballsmith

Grow a sense of humour. Also, hell doesn't exist. As for uneducated... Didn't the Pope say that condoms were bad, and to not use them in Africa to prevent AIDS?

  • athiest =eatshit the anagram describes the junk you are being told as truth.

  • @mickwillie1 "athiest =eatshit"

Haha, never noticed that before. But my video is still funnier.

  • @mickwillie1 hmm I was told to be buddhist, but I turned into an atheist because I developed more ideas about the world that made a lot of sense to me. no one told me to be an atheist. judging by the amount of atheists out there, very little people have been told to be atheist. they probably figured it out themselves

  • @mickwillie1 umm, change atheist with theist

  • all i can do is pray for you so that you would come to see the truth about life and christ's love for us.

  • @jbeckr13 Did I send you this video? No I didn't.

I love how christians complain about being "harassed" and "persecuted" when they don't even know the meaning of either word.

  • @TheGreaterSatan you're doing it right now and YOU didn't even know it.

  • @AK47METALLICA no child you are mistaken. define what he is doing and how he is doing it.

  • @AK47METALLICA Wrong. You claim it as persecution only because you are afraid to let people know the truth that the original story was fake. What ever happened to, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free?" You love it when you spread *your* message, but hate it when you're called out on a blatant lie.

  • FEAR MY GNARLED HORNS!

This is funny every time I read it.

  • @killbilly069 Sure I celebrate Christmas. Just like many pagans did centuries before Christianity even existed.

  • Another fail!!! Come on, you need to be alittle stronger with the replies, I clearly asked 2 questions and you only tried to answer 1 of them, I think we "Christians" would all like to know why you made this video that is disrespecting to us "Christians"!

So if I just started ragging on your beliefs for no reason at all, wouldn't you be alittle aggrivated, in other words it was uncalled for and you should find another subject to make fun of before you disrespect relegion again!

  • @killbilly069 The problem with your objections is that there IS a reason why this video is posted. Here's a thought: Why don't *you* explain why you *don't* see the author of the original story as "disrespectful" in his arbitrary targeting of USC to spread his fable as truth? Until you can explain this honorably, you have NO business implying that anyone else is a hypocrite. "Why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"

  • @TheGreaterSatan Christianity always existed...

  • tall firm erect stiff and hard XD all the things pastors like

  • USC is the great the Satan, go UCLA!

  • This is a miracle by the great ad mighty God! No matter how little it may seem to all blind fools but to the saved this is all the more reason to praise our great and awesome God!!!

  • Why did God make us "fools" blind, then?

  • oh please, don't start. God made us then gave us a choice about whether to screw ourselves up or not.

  • He doesn't make people blind!

Read and understand clearly what you read before you ask a stupid question again!

We all choose to be blind and we all choose to be fools and we choose our fate's. is what this person is saying and I agree it is alittle harsh but it's not a quote from the bible

  • Halleluja! Praise the chalk! Praise it!

  • But surely if chalk is the....then the rubber must be...OH NOOOOOZ!!!

  • i thought this was pretty fucking funny xD, wish every1d stop takin' this shit so seriously tho

  • i actually found this video humorous. good job, u brought up sum gud, valid points. but i still believe in Jesus. and this video is not gonna change that. do i completely believe the original story? no, i dont. but do i think God is able to do that if he wants to? i sure do. i dont wna start a religious debate bcuz i feel it unnecessary. juss wantd to share my views with u all. God bless :)
