i played this game multiplayer against my friend, and we created a massive battlefield with like 100 soldiers each, after we were done it looked like a fucking graveyard, bodies and robots piled up into one giant hill, later we had to dig a tunnel through that pile to even get to each others bases, would take to long to climb over it XD

@SatanIsSextingMe hard to say. dwarf fortress is a bit different, especially in terms of gameplay, but you're right, DF was pretty tough. I would say cortex command is unique enough to the point where it takes longer to get used it, and the actual difficulty of the game is larger than DF's.

What can I say... The Idea of the game is really great and interesting, but game play is a little bit boring, game developers should work with game mechanic, physic and more. I would say that this game is in beta version... because there is a lot of need to do...

even for the legit demo my antivirus says it has the aforementioned problems. and yet, upon full scan of my pc, it comes up clean. l suppose it's just a false positive

I called a rocket carrying Mia and akk the C4 I could buy. The rocket landed next to a wall, she tried to get out and was crushed, and THE WORLD EXPLODED. Just one of countless terrible things I witnessed >_<

i'm playign the demo right now. i hope the full game isn't exactly like this because the deplyment rockets are a bit shaky, and end up crashing every now and then because the AI can't seem to keep them level. i end up loosing like 500 credits worth of soldiers and munitions every time.

@ravenjehuty If you don't like how the AI does it you can take control of the ship yourself, by selecting it with Q or E.

yeah i actually figured that out after a while of playing. Still, sometimes when you're in a hurry you forget and the AI just wrecks. I've even tried using a dropship since it's not required to land to drop off bodies, but when you have up to 3 people in it, after the second person touches down, the third one will land ontop of him, crushing him to death. well, all that aside it's still very fun to play.

That was an older version of Cortex Command.

You should try the demo, it's really fun. It's the full thing, but you only get to play for about 7 minutes each mission.

@freezoid123 There are up to 4 player coop, versus, team versus and free for all. Also its still in alpha that is why you have 150 weapons to choose from. They will eventually cut it down by factions and in general cut unimportant things to make it simpler, but for now this is what you got.

you have to destroy the enemy base, defend your own base, mine for gold, etc. you can't really tell how good it is from watching a video, though. the physics on it are just awesome.

Campagin mode has lots of stuff and missions, but you can play quick game too - build your base, buy units and defend your base, the great part that there are SHITLOAD of weapons, and everything is destructible, the destruction model is awesome too.

When it's 2, I tend to have one set to AI mining and the other controlled by me.

When it's 3, I tend to have a miner, a guard and the last one controlled by me.

I rarely get more than that though, unless I really need guards or help assaulting a base.
