  • what a really lame audience, seen more enthusiasm in ten day old roadkill.

  • @gordongate The crowd were lame for this one, Setzer totally wasn't suited for this fest - it was half an attempt to get the hippy vibes of the original 1969 Woodstock back, so loads of hippy/folk acts, whilst also putting on a bunch of popular modern rock bands to get the kids in, e.g. Korn, Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock, etc etc. So the crowd was basically made up of stoners and angry frat boys. Shame, as this is one of the best BS Orchestra performances I've seen, really great stuff.

  • @NightFightah Ahhh so it was a festival organised by wankers in suits without any understanding of music smelling a fat bottom line after ticket sales aimed at the great unwashed.

Either Brians agent was sold a huge bullshit story by an arsehole organiser that it would be a good gig to do or they drove a dump truck full of fat dollar bills through the front of his house. I hope it was the first reason, he's always seemed to have kept his integrity over the years.

  • @gordongate Yeah, basically! Haha. It was a cynical attempt to re-create the original Woodstock and make a bunch of money, very poorly organised, and the facilities were diabolical - seriously look up on Wikipedia 'Woodstock 99', there were all sorts of horror stories about no shelter from 100+ degree heat, crap toilets etc, and huge riots kicked off at the end of the festival after the Chilli Peppers' headlining set. It was an utter disaster, organised by total jerkoffs, haha!

  • @gordongate And I'm willing to bet it was the agent reason too - look at Setzer during some of these videos, he definitely looks like he's wondering 'wtf is this, why am I playing here?!' Despite being surrounded by stoned frat boys and wannabe hippies he still kills it though - what a guy!

  • @NightFightah Yes he is, i consider him as one of the inspirational reasons i picked my guitar back up after 20 years.

I will never attain his skill level but as long as i can eventually murder this song less horribly on my guitar as currently i do then i will be supremely content.

  • What a friggin showman! Damn.

  • Love this song!
