@89deason yes, it's the only to get to the top speed (478) that fast. if you've done it correctly, you will reach it before the jump pad.

For those wondering why emulators are forbidden for records, it just has to do with authenticity. It's understandable that you may not necessarily cheat or abuse any emulator advantages, however, your computer runs things differently than the console itself, plus the controller or keyboard you're using may have some advantages. You can still compete for emulator records too. But if you're ever good enough to compete with world records, then you might as well buy the console and original game.

After analysing the vid i must say, that it is probably a fake. No SNES Playes back the vids that fast at a speed of478 (max without turbo).. i timed it several times and it just doesn´t fit. and the lap times at the end a never listed that fast.... my guess is, that it has been played on a modyfight rom or on a snes version that i´m not familier with. /The us-version did had a faster processor as far as i know)

Frost, I have a doubt. You use the Golden Fox to give you acceleration. How does you do to be hit and achieve max accel?

@SpecialOperations i press the left shoulder button right at the start and then i press the right shoulder button very quickly so the Golden Fox hits me on my left side, just like in this vid (which isn't me btw, it's done by the japanese player Faust.)

then, in the 2nd bump, you have to make sure that you line up correctly so that the Golden Fox hits you on the right side. and just when it hits you, you need to press right with your d-pad, to make your vehicle stable so it can keep the speed.
