DUDE.... u have to use a DS lite or DS original to update the firmware to work on 1.4 DSis.... unfortunetly u have to use a DS lite or DS because the DSi wont recognize it untill after the update. So ones you update the firmware it will work on the DSi.

So I can get the red box one. Before I do though can I ask you this question if I update my dsi, I here that the cartridge for r4 won't work. In the previous r4s you just had to update from the site can you do this on dsi because I heard if you update you have to wait and go buy another r4i with the filmware you have on your Dsi thanks great vid by the way .

I know your problem it can be solved you need to buy a new micro sd card and when you download the firmware download the the second newest firmware the newer firmware will stuff up your micro sd when you go on moonshell also the r4i gold works on the newest dsi firmware no other dsi flash card will

I thought this review was good riiiight up until the end. Sorry man but you dont even know how to use an R4. You put it in BEFORE turning the DS on. It never boots into the DS menu, you must have the software on the microSD card before it will load. The R4i works perfectly fine. I would strongly recommend putting up another review or taking this one down.

You didn't download the firmware from what I see. You also used a 2 GB micro SD card, the r4i that you got only supports 4-32 GB micro SD cards. It says it on the back of the box! That is why it didn't work.
