Brokaw never worked at ABC (although Roone Arledge aggressively pursued him to work there back in the early 1980s - and, then, John Chancellor stepped down). Jennings would have done very well at any of the networks, but he remained at ABC for his entire news career south of the border. 2) Pete Jennings died 2 years ago

3) She goes on to mention Brokaw, who really worked for NBC...He retired 2 years before that...then she proceeds to make up the "2 million lost viewers" figure

just to add on to what mattz1122 said dan rather (cbs) stepped down in march 2005 right after tom brokaw (nbc) also stepped down in december 2004...so jennings (abc) died less than a year after brokaw left and soon after rather left...and she totally made up that 2 million lost viewers after brokaw left...brian williams replaced him and the show continued to to quite well...
