@ZaphedBeebleBrox what you mean by fungus? This is in canada.. We got "late blight" from so much rain, but we just picked the badly effected leaves off so the bugs don't keep spreading it. otherwise it only moves down the plant when it rains with gravity. and since they're vining tomatoes they're well off the ground. I'm told we would have been doomed if we got "early blight" This field was organic and not used in years so there was no reason for there to be any contamination of bad fungus peace
@Lovechild1801 hey :D tomatoes make me drool too! I usually go to make a toasted tomato sandwich and eat the rest of the tomato like a fruit before the toast is ready! I posted a comment on your profile with my new channel just letting you know so you know it's me ;)
I think theirs Yellow speckled romas and Also Yellow pear. The yellow pear are the little ones like cherry tomatoes and are a hierloom variety, not sure where we got them but I'm sure if you look at organic heirlooms you'll find them. The speckled roma I have no clue other then the name. As they apperantly came out as mystery plants in my friends garden when he was doing gardening at school(So someone could have just stuck some seeds there as a surprise for him;)
You mean the chicken?? The chickens were good until they took over the compost pile where they would find the odd tomato scraps. we had nearly 20 of them and until the last month of the summer they were great! Eventually they turned like gangsters cause one of the people would try and catch them all the time. The tomato vines were high enough mostly that by the time they learned they could peck them they were above the ground where they'd bother:) but the romas they pecked with out even eating
Let's all have just one tomatoe plant.Get a 5 gallon bucket, put soil half way, cover the plant half way down into the soil,as it grows add more soil, make sure you have a few drain holes drilled in the bottom of the bucket.Make sure you put with the lil plant a long stick that you can tie the plant to as it grows taller and taller.Don't forget to water the lil guy. PS: Don't forget to talk to it each day, you'll make it a happy lil fellow..smiles* Happy gardening* x..Love,Lane
That' a great idea Lane, almost everyone has enough space to grow one tomato, and even that can be a lot of tomatoes!
Thanks for the growing tips;) It's neat how tomatoes stems are so delicate but then so versitile they can make more roots if you burry them and then the plants just explode with growth.
Both the tomatoes and the music are Coice!!! Great Video. Tha t is a 5*****s' & a Favorite to me...Much thanks from Nahville,Tennessee...Peace brother.....
i used to HATE tomatos as a kid because my grandfather told me they were disgusting and evil! lol after he died and as I got older I had a brand new love and appreciation for the yummy things! weird how people can be influenced so much by those they look up 2 and admire!
Those pictures are music to my ears ! lol
The plants look so healthy and full of vitality !
