  • Shit wrong video.

  • The m5 has a v160 trans I think. The m5 is for sale. It is fast as hell, maybe the fastest sedan around.

  • what gearbox and clutch?

  • these cars arent a piece of shit.. its why they are high end cars. supra cars are just tuners. their motors on the other hand are versatile, and not as expensive to get performance out of. i own an e39 540i/6. even maintainance is costly. i would like to make the swap myself. like it was said b4 they have sum of the best handling ever. bmw and audi. i own both, and both have exceptional handling. as for japanese cars. they handle like shit in a toilet. hence the need for new suspension.

  • why put a 2jz into a piece of shit bmw ? waste of good motor

  • Can you put a 2JZ into an E46? if so, I will drive to NJ from CA and get it done.

  • 2JZ is easy to tune.. the best turbo engine.. even the super car also worried when they saw SUPRA at his tail..

  • What kind of transmission is in the E39? Is it the BMW tranny, or does it match the JZ? Also did you have to custom design a drive shaft to fit the swap of the motor and tranny?

  • How did you guys get all of the BMW electronics to sync up? I would like to do an LSx swap, but want to get the stock BMW LCM, cluster, BCM, etc. to work with it.

  • Man- if you guys are this upset over the best inline six being installed into a BMW, how do you feel about me installing a Chrysler Slant Six in one?

  • i would put a 2jz in a 3 series anyday but y ruin an m6 that thing is sex in a half?? and 2jz is my favorite motor so im not being biased

  • omg, changed the best engine ever for a fucking bmw piece of shit? bmw is a all luxury company car, this deserves a thumbs down, the video.

  • @JoshuaBaldwinBrown The M52TU from BMW is one of the best and reliable engines ever. That's the 2.8L str8 6 banger. The engine has very little problems. The problem with BMW isnt so much the engine - it's all of the sensors, and electronic "bells and whistles" that are added around the engine to give the car a "luxury" feel to it. Now the M52TU comes off the line as is, back in 2000, with 195HP. Add a stage1 ESS supercharger to that old ass car, and you have 300HP, & the M52TU will take it.

  • @JoshuaBaldwinBrown (Cont) Add a ESS Stage 2 or 3 supercharger, & you can output over 500-600HP. Problem is, the cost for a custom setup. 2JZ on the other hand has less sensors, & has more parts available, due to the Toyota/Lexus cross brand, & therefor are cheaper due to availability. 2JZ is also easier to maintain, due to less electronic "bells and whistles". BMW's biggest problem is the VANOS, & not the engine, - like many people think. People sell their BMW's thinking it's an engine problem.

  • Respond to this video... (Cont) But I'm going for the 2Jz due to cost. I cant get a 2JZ upgrade, in a car that handles WAY better (and safer) than the Lexus/Toyota, for about 4000-5000 bucks; saving me the 12,000 custom work for en ESS stage3 supercharger.

  • @JoshuaBaldwinBrown that made no sense, you're officially an idiot.

  • So this is how all the cars when modified in Grand Turismo sound like a Supra

  • This is awesome ! Only thing that sucks is when the 2jz starts getting hard to find then the fun will be over

  • @sincityryder

There are many R6 that can be compeered to the 2jz, for example bmws m50 (if you want to get away cheap, mls headgasket, new injectors a holset hx 40 and you are god for over 500hp, some other changes and you get easy over 600hp, then both the euro s50 and s54 are to other amazing built enines that can with stand enormus power for much less money than the 2jz, for proof just search "e30 m50 turbo" or just "e30 turbo" for some amazing builds

  • @Iceeeen the old e28s are shithot for tuning too...

  • ok wow, this looks nuts... how did you get your cluster to stay working ? doesn't that thing light up with errors ? ... also, does the DSC still work ... ? would love to know what you had to do to get it to work if it does....

    Thanks !

  • that thing is fierce. damn!! 516 whp on a e39.

  • You people are sick. Who would've thought of replacing one of the best engines of all time with this jap crap?

  • Comment removed

  • @THRESHE

Jap crap??? You are an idiot.

  • @THRESHE Dude, remember how momma used to tell you how important education is in life. She was trying to prevent you from saying stupid shit and just look like an ass like you are right now. Look on your surrounding Craigslist listings for Bimmers that has these engines in them. Ill bet you anything you'll find atleast 5 of them right now with either blown head gasket or cracked head, or just "need engine". Then trying doing alittle research on the 2JZ. I'll bet you'll feel like a Bigger Ass

  • @zzkambe so ur saying bimmers with supra engines are shit right?

  • @TheAutocraze No disrespect, but if that's the impression you got from reading my comment, then you need to enroll with your local evening ESL program. Thank you.

  • @zzkambe ACTUALLY RETARD... you said "Look on your surrounding Craigslist listings for Bimmers that has these engines in them" and this video is about bimmer that have supra engines

  • @zzkambe ACTUALLY RETARD... you said "Look on your surrounding Craigslist listings for Bimmers that has these engines in them" and this video is about bimmer that have supra engines. Plus i didnt find any bimmers in my area that are fucked, but i have a supra sitting in my shop cause the owner couldnt pay for the repairs. Shows how reliable those things are

  • @TheAutocraze Adult ESL program at the civic center 6-9 pm. Monday, Tuesday.and Thurday.

  • @THRESHE jap is crap compared to german engineering... japs tune to hi and engines need fixing to often...

  • @ThreeDLee09 yet if if the person who built your car it retarded I know a lot of supra's of 600hp daily drivers for years now and there way more reliable then German P.O.S and much cheaper to build, When you own a BMW or a Benz or a Audi there one phrase you better learn DEALER ONLY

  • @Dominuce jap is cheaper to tune cuz its crap... rx7 to skylines need rebuilding ever 50,000 miles.... i know of bmws tuned that are on 300,000 miles.... and these cars are near 30 years old.... the engines are 30 years old tooo.... hardly and jap cars on the road with original engines in 30 years old.... jap is cheap and used to be good years ago... now its all gone down hill.

  • @ThreeDLee09 well thats quite not true JUN performance has 1000hp gtr r33, that was built in 1997 a daily driver and still till this date it has never broken down, there is not built or modified German with the exception that can do this, not only in tuning a Japanese car is far superior it is far cheaper. I have a ls400 with over 320,000 and it gives me no issue I know euro cars with half that mileage that cant drive a block with out cutting off euro cars are just for status that's it

  • @Dominuce there is a reason its far cheaper... cuz they are shit. i had a e28 from the 80s that had 400,000 miles on the clock, there is hardly any jap cars on the road from the 80s with that kind of milage... you cant compare that to a 90s lexus.... bmw make a safe well made car inside and out... ive been involved with jap and german cars for a long time... crx's to skylines and they are made on the cheap FACT! feel unsafe and a shitty ride.... bmw are a far better all round car period.

  • @Dominuce haha... i dont really mind jap cars ;) just more of a german engineering person..... :D

  • This is the best way to go for an E39, have a member doing the swap with you now.

    - BimmerBoost. com

  • The song is Fort Minor and Styles of Beyond - Dolla

  • actualy this should be the stock engine for the e39 m5

  • need some engine mounts

  • They did some work on my 2010 Camaro SS, great people there...Ill be calling them soon to drop in my Hellion Twin Turbo

  • Still in love with this.

  • sounds like a jet about ready to lift off!

  • anyone know the rough ballpark a swap like this would cost? swaps for most bmw's are expensive if you try to stick with the bmw engines

  • @boostedboogie in the latest eurotunner they said the engine is 5 k if u want the good 6 speed with the engine but after tuning it says around 7k for the whole swap..depending on what chassis you have of course but sick stuff!

  • @burntsouljah for a supra engine? no way lol the swap will be more than 7k...to drop a 2jz into an older supra costs about 10-12k depending how much power you want to put out. The 6-spd is a Getrag Transmission, its worth about 3k by itself. You can get a used 2jz -gte (working) for about 2.5k the R154 transmission can be found rebuilt for about $600. mk3 supras never used 2jzs(understand this is bmw, but) 2jz-gte into a mk3 = 7-12k with getrag

  • @sgtGrif ok anyway like i said IN THE EUROTUNER MAGAZINE they said that so im quoting what it says...word for word look it up if u dont believe me..

  • @burntsouljah naw im too lazy to look it up lol its all good, im quoting my sources, cuz i was looking into swapping a 2jz into my mk3...^_^

  • @sgtGrif its cool lol they apparently have a good connection for the engines and they do all the work themselves so i guess its a bit cheaper... b/c they mainly work on supras and they have some silvia's also with 2jz... thats how they came up with this idea the owners wifes bmw's engine was done so he put the 2jz in it..

  • @burntsouljah i want t he money to put a 2jz into my supra -_-

  • Wouldn't think twice about going with Eshift. I'll fly out from cali to hit this spot up! I have!!

Whats up to Wayne, Mike and the Eshift crew!

  • Mike Wayne and the whole crew have people skills.....and as i said before they own one hell of a shop and do some bad ass crazy clean swaps .

  • Great Job! One question, The BMW tach is on a can system and the 2jz tach signal wire isn't the same signal. How did you get it to work? Did you use an interface? If so what brand/model, many have been trying to get thier stock tach to work on newer cars with can systems with no luck. Help everyone out please.

  • whats the song name??

  • who did the wiring where can I find more info on this conversion ?? it fucking tight

  • omg...2JZ 7 series next please...preferably mine...haha

  • i never had nothing done by this guys before.but like i said before.i day that me and my brother had done some wrong on my brother supra.we whent to this shop.and mike took a look at supra and told as,2 wires r wrong, just put ur inside the shop and grab some tools and fixed it,he never charges as.good job guys.MIKE AND WAYNE R COOLEST SHOP OWNER.Keep up the good work guys
