  • r u in da dleague?

  • oh and remember ur in the d league those guys are prone to making bad decisions so dont expect them to knoww hat they doing

As for the defense rating, you have to be a certain height or posses a high enough vert to contest a shot. Because ur 5'11 u gotta be able to jump high to contest shots. For example chris paul wont be guarding yao ming in the paint

  • oh and remember ur in the d league those guys are prone to making bad decisions so dont expect them to knoww hat they doing

  • at 3:00 that was not good d u jumped late

As for the the transition d u can run back on defence just make sure u stick like glue to one person dont guard the paint, if u want to be a team player u stick to one person your too small to do anything but steal

  • The drive and make at 01:48 is really for defense.

If you want the ball set screens for your PG and he will reward you all most every time

And don't call for the ball, nothing good will come from it. Here is a tip, if you're defending someone at the 3 point line and they shoot it, just start running up court and they'll throw you a long pass after the rebound for an open dunk/layup

  • @Podblur Yeah I learned that calling for the ball gets me nothing but points taken away. I'll work on leaking more, especially when I'm put in as SG, thanks for that tip.

  • pop. You'll get really easy buckets. Of course, you don't drive to the hole all the time, the defence is really smart and will destroy you. Sometimes drive, sometimes pass it to the open man, sometimes pass it to the screen or even drive away so the screen can run hard to the basket. It'll take some practice but after awhile, you'll be getting 10+ assists and 20+ points:)

    Hope this helps!

  • @ianamores Good points, I don't hardly shoot enough when I should (just like real life). I will work on the mid range for sure. Yeah you right, need to work on the D and that probably will be the thing that gets me higher grades. Right now I still have a hard time controlling my man. He seems to over shoot where I wanted him to stop or sometimes he runs in the opposite direction that I'm pushing on, so it seems anyways. Thanks for the help

  • Actually you're not half bad:) you just gotta watch out for a few things.

    1) Defence is your time to shine. Don't waste time trying to get steals unless you have a high steal and on ball D rating. Just stay on your man. You're in the D-league so you won't get pumpfaked into the foul yet. Just keep on him, and play good D (tons of points)

    2) On offence as a shooting guard, play the perimeters, get your mid range game up a bit more and do more cuts and screens. Once you're a PG, just pick and..

  • When they put u at point guard.... try running ALOT of pick and rolls....... every single chance u have ..... run a pick and roll

  • Set more on ball and off ball screens....... and box out on every shot attempt... gets u quick points here and there...... Its great to see u in the D League..... makes ur journey to the NBA more realistic and meaningful...... My guy went 1st round 12 pick ro Memphis...... cuz i scored 70 points in a Draft combine game.....yours is more realistic lol............

  • @DDDEEE6 Whoa, thats crazy. Its good to know its possible to dominate in 2K11. I thought going to the D-League was realistic too. After my player is 44 overall and I didn't play very well in Summer league, lasted only 3 games. If I was ovr 80+ like John Wall, then perhaps I'd be in the NBA too. Thanks for the tips, very helpful!

  • 3) If your having trouble you should turn the difficulty down a level.

    4) I didn't watch the whole video but the shot that you took too early, work on your release.

    5) Your gonna get played at SG alot so work on being a combo guard, your gonna have to work hard to counter-act your height disadvantage.

    6) Might be reiterating #2 but good D leads to offense.

    7) Work off the ball on offense, even if you don't get the ball doesn't mean you can't help out the team.

  • @Liverpool011 Thanks man, will get practicing. I like the difficulty. Not worried about it being hard. I stopped playing 2K10 because it was way too easy. So this is a good change. I do get frustrated right now, but that isn't a bad thing.

  • Couple of things.

    1) Seeing as you were put in SG you gotta play that position, which means play the wings, cut to the rim every now and then and shoot good shots. I can see you were getting frustrated but you were getting in your team mates space and messing things up worse than it should've been.

    2) Easiest way to get points is by doing some great D and force bad shots so your team gets then rebound, then just run for the fast break and you'll get a dunk/layup.
