I also would be leery of putting a for sale sign on a prop you don't own, or is not under contract. Seems illegal. But I thought of doing before was this: Put a bandit sign that says: Buy houses at 60% off retail....555-5555
If you are in Illinois (Chicago) and are not a licensed realtor, you may be subject to prosecution by the IDPFR (IL Dept of Professional and Financial Regulation). I had some nasty encounter with them. Luckily, the properties they were referring to were all under contract or past sold properties. Basically, you cannot sell or attempt to sell something you don't own or something for which you don't have a contract with the owner.
Thanks for the feedback. I am not urging people to break the law. It is an idea that I received from another investor. I made that disclaimer in the video. I don't know what the status of the properties were. I think people should always check their local and state laws before endeavor. Also, people should weigh whether there is a "possibility" of something happening or a "probability" of something happening. Great comment. I appreciate you!
From one investor to another Simply amazing idea THANKS !!!!

Great tip. Very smart. It helps everyone, even the owner of the house/mortgage.

That is correct. I have driven through neighborhoods where there are an exorbitant number of vacant houses.
