What is the difference between you buying yourself a loaf of bread and your state buying one for you? Besides the fact that you pay the government to buy the loaf of bread, nothing. You consume it either way, and both you and the state currently pay the embedded cost of income capital gain, corporate income and other taxes.
Exempting government consumption will cause every one will ask the government to give them everything.
@dtvgmedia No dumb ass, taxing the government, you stupid shit, is bogus fakery. Government can't pay taxes you fucking idiot, they would have to raise taxes to do it.
And Fairtax knows this, thats why the fake fuckers have hid it in the fine print.
Furthermore, 300 billion of this tax, governments would have to pay IN ADVANCE -- government has to pay taxes on salaries it pays, IN ADVANCE.
Only to you Mark. Sometimes the lone voice of reason really is. the other 99.9% of the time it's just some guy off his meds.
Ch 10 question 6 FairTax: the truth explains the government paying self argument. medical costs drop about 5%. Even after the FairTax. so there goes you cancer victim card. The prebate covers rent, gas, and utilities taxes with a bunch to spare. And yes me and all the other FT leaders (You can't seem to name) are pushing for hearings. Now start cursing some more. It helps
DISCLAIMER FOR THOSE SERIOUS ABOUT DISCUSSING THE FAIRTAX: Sincere, intellectually honest debate is ALWAYS welcome, but ignore the person known as 12FlyMe/NawwLeans/Bullship Detector, etc. He continually posts a rash of lies, slanders, name-calling, and general nonsense, and has no interest in honest debate on HR25. Despite multitudes of facts and rational arguments presented in response to his rants, he continues undeterred in his campaign of misinformation. Pay no attention to him.
Im the biggest Fairtax supporter you know. Its just a bunch of crap -- I would love it.
Mostly, I would love it to pass, so the public can see what liars and con artist the Fairtax leaders are. It would be worth it to pass it.
FT leaders are running a con game, and they know it. If by chance this ever got close to passing -- they would torpedo it. They don't want their BS exposed -- and passing this would expose it.
I read the book four times. Yes, there IS a tax on services, genius. Plus, you will pay this same insane tax -- the worlds hightest sales tax -- on your RENT, yes RENT. And all your car insurance. And on ALL medical cost -- including cancer surgery, nursing home care, ect. And on utility bills, gasoline, etc. Don't worry, no one is seriously trying to pass this. Its a farce and they wont dare have hearings on it. They would look like lunatics if the "details" were exposed.
@brigg You know FT basic plan is a massive tax on city and state spending, even government wages, right? (See their books fine print) Can the federal governnment tax city and state spending? No way. Cities and states wont go for it. And the USSC won't let them. Fairtax "leaders" know this. That is WHY they hid this massive tax on city and state , in their fine print. Go call ANY mayor or governor office. They have NO IDEA the FT has massive new taxes in it.
@MarkDouglasC You seem to be missing the biggest point of all. As it stands now, prices of goods and services are artifically inflated by on average 22% by the costs of the current system. That includes both the actual moneys forwarded to the federal government and the cost of compliance with the current insane system. It is expected that the prices of goods and services will decline by about the same amount of the sales tax. FAIR TAX NOW!!!
@bigj200016 MarcDouglasC is just 1 of 44 or so accounts used by youtube's biggest troll.12FlyMe below is another. His main account is RonPaulHatesBlacks.
@bigj200016 wrong moron. These idiots know their plan is bullshit, THAT is the main point. Why do you think they have avoided hearings under oath for 13 years.
Did you know the Fairtax books say the biggest source of revenue will be FROM the government?? Yes, the government will become the BIGGEST taxpayer.
Try to grasp the absurdity of that. It's beyond insane. And its the reason they avoid hearins under oath, they know their math is pure BS, and won't answer questions under oath
Im not defending our tax system -- it sucks. But Fairtax is a F-A -R-C-E. And you would HATE it if it passed, which it won't. The Fairtax supporters in Congress would not DARE to have hearings and expose their own BS farce. Its literally a FARCE. Yes, we need a better tax code -- not his lunatic farce.
Next time listen to the video, it would replace all the embedded taxes that you pay now, right now (i also read the book) you pay 23 % in embedded taxes (taxes on the corp, transportation, and everything needed to get the good or service to you that is passed on to you in the price, and then add 18% tax) you are already paying it. They just remove the imcome tax burden, and give you the choice (freedom what concept) to pay or not. if the item is worth it you will, if not you won't
The income tax system punishes hard work by confiscating the fruits of our labor while the Fair Tax would punish us for enjoying the fruits of our labor.
I feel our federal government should be doing neither. A small federal government limited by the constitution, prohibited from directly taxing the people, is the legacy the founding fathers have left us. Preserve Liberty, join the Ron Paul Revolution.
Well spoken, gsuitter! People frequently voice the objection, "how can our government operate without taxes?!" I believe the answer is that it cannot, at least not in its current mode. If they'd only read title one, section eight of the Constitution they'd be alarmed at how out of control we are.

The "Fair Tax" was a scheme created by the Church of Scientology as revenge on the IRS for being denied a tax-free status as a church for decades.
People who propose a "Fair tax" are pushing a nation-wrecking scam created by a cult.

Im all for the Fairtax -- I want to see these lunatics try to tax the military 50 billion dollars.
I want to see these lunatics tax every city and state on their spending.
See -- Fairtax is pure bullshit, in the fine print, they pretend all government levels will pay this massive tax.
So pass it PLEASE -- I want to see this shit happen.
One little problem: Fairtax KNOWS its pure bullshit and avoids all hearings in congress under oath.

Fairtax makes sense?
You mean it makes sense to pretend to get over a trillion dollars by taxing the federal government a sales tax?
It makes sense to put the world's highest sales tax -- on your RENT? On all insurance payments? On all utility bills?
No -- Ken -- its bullsshit and you know it/
We need a new tax code from ground up.
Not this bullshit. Fairtax is pure bullshit -- its a Magic Pony that shits gold -- by pretending to tax a bunch of shit it can't tax.

I did read the FT Book -- four times, and have the second book.
Funny how the first Fairtax book brags that "Fairtax makes the federal government become a MAJOR taxpayer". Page 148.
City, county, and state governments have to- pay this huge sales tax too.
Fairtax math is based on over a trillion in taxes FROM the government.
But then the second book -- which was going to answer critics -- never dared touch this subject
Why?
Because that's their bullshit, and they know it.
MakeMyPower 2 years ago
Doesn't get much easier to explain than that.
FYI, if you block the trollers....they can't post on your videos anymore.

The fairtax eliminates nothing you idiot. Its a farce - look up the word farce. Really -- look it up.
Thats what Fairtax is.
Sure -- if it could work like they say, But thats like saying if a Magic Pony can shit gold -- it can't shit gold you moron.
Fairtax has you lunatics believing that the government can pay a huge sales tax TO ITSELF and count that as income,
Bullshit morons.
Read the book page 148 "The federal government itself will become a MAJOR taxpayer."

Fairtax is a magic pony that shits gold, and there are some people still stupid enough to want to buy it.
I say - buy. Get your lunatic Fairtax, I would love you to ride that magic pony.
I want to see your dumb asses try to get a trillion a year FROM the government in sales taxes, and count that as income.
I want to see your dumb aasses try to tax renters a huge sales tax on their rent, try to tax cancer victims a huge sales tax on their chemo, etc.

Legitimate Concerns?? I don't have any concerns --- I have an awareness that the lunatic Fairtax is a farce, a charade -- its total bullshit.
Thats like saying someone has a "concern" about someone tryingi to sell you a magic pony that shits gold.
I'm telling you its bullshit. I'm telling you is a farce pushed by con men who KNOW its bullshit.
You can't fuching get a trillion dollars a year FROM the government in a sales tax . Hell the fuch helloooooo.
Thats just ONE point.

Please read the book. There is no tax on services. So YES you save if you rent.
Seriously - are you people honestly defending our tax system? You are the same people who endlessly criticize "the rich" for tax loopholes.
Make the rich pay for their Mercedes and Yachts.
Stop the tax lobbyists. End the majority of corruption in DC.
