Don tlet anyone tell you ID is not a sceintific theory. It is 100% scientific. They definition of the theory of ID is "the theory that certain patterns in nature are best explained as the product of intelligence." This is the counter theory to what we have with Darwinism or modern evolution which says like is the result of mindless laws and "undirected" chance. If laws alone are enough then let them make life from scratch. IF chance is enough give them a billion tries. You need intelligence.

It is evident that Genesis (the book of origins) presents Almighty God as Creator. He is not created.

Genesis opens with the creation of the world and goes on to record the creation of nations in general and the nation of Israel, with its unique destiny, in particular. Creation is the central motif of the bood of Genesis. El Shaddai is the God of power, energy, with "El" literally meaning might and "Shaddai" meaning force.

The best way to understand this is by the beauty present in the universe, which despite having a naturalistic cause, it cannot solely have one. The Big Bang used to be widely accepted in science as the origin of the universe, until people began to debate "what existed the day before the Big Bang?"

That started to lead to the idea that something or someone actually created the universe; someone intelligent who existed prior to the universe.

Now, others propose the flawed "Steady State Theory" which says the universe has always existed.

Don't let the critics get you down. Many intelligent scientists already allow their self-image to obstruct their view of the truth; that it all couldn't just happen on its own.

There is too much order in the natural world for there to be more than one designer. There is too much care put into it for him to be anything but caring. Therefore, our world was created by a single, caring God. It makes sense to me.

They ultimately have to deny the existence of the mind to support their views. The same mind that contain the views of scientistm, naturalism and materialsm in the first place. Still your logic is flawed, how intelligent of a design is it? Our eyes see less than 2% of the electomagnetic spectrum, our ears hear a very narrow band of the hertz scale, given our size to weight ratio we move exceedingly slow, we are susceptible to a never ending host of very bad diseases and micro-organizims. This is by no means intelligent design. If you contend that we are created in god's image what a feeble inadequate god this must be.

If big things are more valuable, or meaningful, than small things, then whales are more valuable than people, and trees are more meaningful than ants. Size doesn't matter in the search for meaning.

You are correct when you say size does not matter in the search for meaning. Your view of size comparison is rather simplistic. The differance between the size of humans to whales, and the differance of the earth to the cosmos is not even comparable.

They are supporting Catholics who are curious about their faith with their knowledge. Young Catholics for example, are bombarded with anti-Catholic rhetoric every day.

We know that darkness exists but it cannot be measured except through absence of light. We know there is love and and art which cannot be measured but seem to have an essential life purpose. Since the watch is an un intelligent agent, it needed something intellignet to design it to fulfill its purpose to tell time. That we call a watch maker. The same principle can be applied on a larger scale to the universe.

Um... last time I checked, the Catholic Church is not a proponent (or opponent) of the "intelligent design" movement. Actually the biggest proponents of "intelligent design" are the Christian Fundamentalists that also happen to be very anti-Catholic.

I'd have to say that this is the only No Apologies video that I disagree with.

God created the earth in seven days and then said its good/rested,meaning that He created the mold and it was complete.

Now He constantly recreates the universe w/in that mold at every moment. He upholds and maintains all of Creation at every moment and we are to align with His Divine Uncreated Energies for LIFE and SALVATION. When one understands of the nature of reality they see evolution is false rubbish.

Personally I believe Evolution and its random creation of man is testimony to God's area of control. Did you know that if an electron is fired at two holes for a short span of time two electrons exist! One continues on the other stops existing. See Roger Penrose for the best explanation for this. What decides which electron continues and which simply disappears. You can say chance I say God. That's the nature of faith. Evolution appears random but it is not at all God's will was expressed.

Evolution is NOT random, it is a design process. Evolution tinkers with random changes, but then involves decision making to make a selection to keep the "best" of those random changes, step by step, This is the same way a tinkerer designs things, he tries something at random, then decides if it works, if so, he builds upon that idea.

I can write an entire book by starting with a random word, deciding to keep or reject that word, then adding another random word, keep or reject, etc..

The "Intelligent Design" theory is not a scientific theory, so putting it up against the theory of Darwin doesn't make sense. If you follow logic it would lead to a fallacy.

"Intelligent Design" is also not part of the Roman Catholic Church's teaching, the church supports science and does not say that it goes against the church's teaching, they can coexist.

I'm a Roman Catholic myself, and I actually took a philosophy course last semester.

We went over St. Thomas Aquinas' 5 proofs for the existence of God, and the watch and watchmaker example you mentioned here.

So even if the Big Bang was the start of the universe, an Intelligent Designer (God) had to create the dense ball of matter, and put it into motion, to begin with!

Rather worn out explanation, but still a rater solid one. The human body is complex and rather flawed ie, our hart and nasal cavity ,at the same time one regrows a hart valve in a lab, with out attaching it to anything, the valve starts to pump blood that is not there in a body that dose not exist....how this is.... bio-techs and doctors do not know and can not call it anything but a Miracle. There seem to be catch 22 when it comes to religion and science. Keep up the great videos.
