Yes, cricketrecords is right. The explosion at the starting was a WW2 tank firing instead of the animated stars; the title did read "The New, Original Wonder Woman"; and in the cartoon panels she deflects bullets from gunmen then throws her tiara at them, instead of throwing her lasso. The complete REAL opening title sequence shown in 1975 can be seen if you search YouTube for "The New Original Wonder Woman 1975 Opening Credits". Somebody posted it in its original format.

I'm so glad the producers got away from using all those World War II references by the second season. It was a terribly misguided way, in the first season, of honoring the original 1940's era Wonder Woman comic strip. "Wiser" heads prevailed when, by Season Two, they discarded the outdated concepts in-favor-of the more modern ones that fans could relate to. This was, in fact, painful to watch.

Unfortunately, this is not the exact pilot opening that was shown in 1975. They're using the one from the rest of the series. The explosion at the beginning was an actual explosion from a war newsreel, the title said "The New, Original Wonder Woman" In the cartoon sequence instead of throwing her lasso she fights off bullets with her bracelets and then punches the guys with the guns, hence the big pulsing star after this scene.

It's a shame now. There's no problem with a male superhero with super strength but when they have a female that's muscular, some people think she's a lesbian. She wasn't THAT too muscular like Superman or Batman and she has a feminen body. All these new action movies have Spiderman Returns, Batman Returns, and finally, Superman Returns. Would be nice if they had an aciton film for Wonder Woman.

I watched series of Wonder Woman when I was a little girl every Saturday night on ABC. I am a fan of her show. Lydia is the greatest woman. This video is very good. Oh, yes, I do remember the music in that background. Thanks.
