  • Einfach nur göttlich!!! dunkel dunkler Carl McCoy!

  • Not enough LIKE buttons!

  • First song, I've heard from this band. Can anyone give me some other awesome songs for a new listener?

Robin Topping - Mauchline, Ayrshire, Scotland 30th October 2011

  • @LestatandBerial

Endemoniada, vet for the insane, in the year 2525, shroud exodium, seasons in the ice cage...

  • @LestatandBerial SUMERLAND

  • Idiots fall like rain

  • the whole song is great... from 6:33 it turns me on!!!

  • 7 people missed the last exit.

  • they need to do a kids reaction video to this lol

    favorited the song also =)

  • chills

  • one of my fave goth bands

  • Vision of a thousand worlds...

  • in san diego before a concert they couldnt get flour so they burst the plaster board walls and rubbed themselves on the plaster board lol great stuff

  • closer ... the power ...

  • @EnkeliofWar flour power :D

  • What is the white dust they put on their clothes?, i read it a time ago, now i cant remember.

  • saw them at nottingham rock city late 80s think it was this tour - they were epic - even to a spotty 17 year old like me - PURE ATMOSPHERE- the support band were good aswell dont know who they were but they sang a great sunshine superman cover -great days - try and catch muse doing the harmonica intro if you havent already

  • viagem po\ o/

  • Are we getting closer??

  • Are we getting closer??

  • god, i miss being a goth, all us old goths should have a national goth day.

  • definitely a S.O.M off shoot but there is only one "first, last & always"

  • Greater than your GOD....

  • 10 years ago I posed for artwork named after this song. Good times...

  • for a wee teen , this was a bloody magic tour! saw them at Wolverhampton Civic and it still remains in my top 10 gigs ( far to many) years later

  • Fields. Enough sad.

In case anyone wants to argue that this is not enough said, Fields is one of the best bands I've ever heard, next to Siouxsie and the Banshees, that is.

  • 4eva remain!!!!!!!!

  • Heart, mind and pelvis in synchronicity... passion.

  • My god..still amazing as ever, like it hasn't been 20 years..

  • just love the part where the rhythm are being paced. They had everything and are still a secret in most circles. strange

  • Don't forget the 12 bags of Homepride the band used to wear on stage. A class act that Carl McCoy managed to fuck up. Gone but not forgotten.

  • thumbs up if youre playing this at your funeral

  • @nephcure1988

I was thinking about that today.

  • no band has come close, unique, even now. more so now!

  • Have loved this band for a VERY long time! Saw them at the UEA in my teens, got a t- shirt to prove it! I am slightly older now, and still love them!!! :-)

  • Fields at their most powerful. These gigs were something special and nothing around came close for atmosphere. Shame that Carl went on to form Nefilim, where I think he mistook loud for being powerful, even though he still produced some good songs they just never pulled the strings in the same way.

  • WGT, 2 Days ago ^^

  • de lo mejor en gotico

  • I do and always will. Some bands stay with you forever. The Nephilim are truly great.

  • 6 fools here just don't appreciate the sheer awesomeness of the Nephilim!

  • Beautiful just absolutely beautiful!!

  • Hello guys.I have been to Porto and Barcelona in the last couple of years. Not to mention SPE both nights. This is without a doubt the best vocally and inventive Nephilim i have witnessed.Put the Mission to shame on 22/10/11.Or maybe not-go Wayne.Luv them both like probably you do and yes i was there 89 onwards.Ok not from the start but gees a break!!!!!!!!

  • Wonderful!

    Thanks for uploading.

And how nice to see a video on Youtube with literate responses!

    All Hail the Neph!

  • @zadflappentash Couldn't agree more. Good to see I'm not alone in this world:)

  • Man, I remember this song on this very tour. I was 17. This brings it all back....truly sensational....one of the best experiences of my life.

  • saw these i don't know how many times. still one of the best bands i've ever seen live Also have to thank them for introducing me to Janes Addiction.

  • Their music never aged. Fantastic!

  • 5 people are retards

  • @karujinha 7 and there are more of retards as i speak,so lets kill 'em!!!

  • so good. this doesn't sound like it's stuck in the 80's, it'll never grow old to me. sadly this generation just isn't exposed to this kind of music, if they were I'm sure they'd be floored and amazed.

  • It is very hard to describe this band - people just need to experience it. It has had a lasting effect on me since the 80s. I love the atmosphere they create with their music. Profound and awesome work Mr McCoy! Respect...

  • saw them at Wolves civic many ,many years ago- to this day one of the best gigs I've ever been to

  • Thanks for uploading ..

    Timeless beauty ..

  • Fields at their finest.

  • To the great Shemyaza - all hail

  • Saw these at Queens Hall in Bradford. Probs about 1991. Roughest gig I've ever been to by a country mile. It was bedlam in the stalls. Came out covered in beer, blood and flour and happy as a pig in shit. Compare and contrast - went to see New Model Army last year and lots of people stood round clapping politely. What went wrong? Where did all the passion go? Halcyon days...

  • this is one of those songs that sent shivers down the spine as soon as you heard the opening chords in the concert hall (saw them about 50 times back in the day including this show. and 10 times since they reformed) and you know what.... It still blows my mind live 22 years after I first heard it. I fucking love this band and always will.

This brings back good memories Thanks for posting

  • @pinz32

Ditto mate. Know exactly how you feel. I will also love this band forever.

My SON took me to see them in Edinburgh in 1988, so I could run him and his pals back home to East Kilbride in the west of Scotland. I was stone cold sober and wasn't looking forward to the Gig. Christ how wrong can you be? The best gig I',ve ever been to. And I've seen the Stones live in 1964 1965 and 1966.

    Class Act

Would love to see them again live.

From an old fart who understands GOOD music.

  • @robintopping62 quite possibly the best comment I have ever seen on youtube! kudos to you mate!

  • @robintopping62 i say cheers to you mate! a true rocker you are!

  • @robintopping62 brixton aceademy in october

  • @robintopping62

    You understand AMAZING music! :)

  • @robintopping62

I was there as well. Saw them 5 times between Edinburgh and Glasgow and the gig you were at was the best one. Good stuff, Good times, Good friends, Good music. What more could you ask for?

  • @judgejools

Sorry, not @rob, at pinz .....

  • @robintopping62 I think I was nearly supposed to be in the car that night - let me guess: Stephen, Mark & Kevin?

  • :) love it

  • In my life I listened to this song from the begin to the end - in a club - just one time. And that club waa the Dunker, in Berlin. No interruptions, no fucking fake mix... just the song up to the end. Great.

  • This track still sends a shiver down my spine...Cool!!

  • bellissima...................

  • had a gorgeous girl on my shoulders for the whole track!!! she said she wanted to sleep with me after that!!!! so cool!!!!

  • One of The Neph's finest moments I thnk:)

  • exelente cancion

  • This is the first time I've heard of these guys... Never was big into goth, but this track is just so atmospheric and cool. I definitely dig it. Thx for sharing.

  • ty 4 posting

  • I just can't stop listening to this song.... it speaks to my soul...

The words he says is the truth for the lost and the forgotten, left behind within the shadows....

  • 8=====D ..........apla..kavla...

  • Este grupo lo he descubierto ahora, sensacional, oscuro y espectaculares guitarras y el bajo, grandioso, la voz sepulcral... pero los videos y recitales son de otro mundo.

  • The Good Reverend Mccoy speaks few listen an even fewer understand what he says!

  • Four people couldn't find the exit...

  • OMG, stunning rendition indeed!! this fucking rocks so hard!! best FOTN video i've ever seen. @_@

  • @m3na9

I got the whole concert on VHS! But this song really is by far the best.

  • im almost 40 now and still listenin to em since the heady days of following with the physcho vikings... mourning sun is fantastic... just release summat new carl,. pwetty please

  • FOTN's guitar acoustics and ambience were positively the personification + amplification of the Gothic vibe.

  • Vasile (sp) Bora got me listening to these guys back in the late '80s and since then I have bought (I believe) all of their CDs and even some vinyl. Thanks Vas! They are one of the best original Gothic bands ever and maybe even the best.

  • I just loved these guys. What a great time and a stunning vid...

  • No one touched these guys for musicianship and showmanship. I wish the original lineup would get back together...I had a chance to see them at a club in Raleigh, NC, but at the time I didn't know who the hell they were! Fields of the what? A few months later, I had a tape, and was forever pissed I missed that opportunity.

  • I think the 4 dislikes are people who accidentally hit the wrong button. How can you not love the psycho goth cowboys? I picked up Dawnrazor in a used CD bin a bunch of years ago, even have the DVD now!

  • My favorite song

  • those were the days :)

  • This gig, in fact all their gigs were amazing. It always felt like a real communion, powerful music to boot!

It's a shame Carl felt the need to go alone, because the music got harder but lost the power and emotion. Killing Joke have done the same. There's no need to try and emulate the bands that they've influenced.

  • I've listened to FotN for a long time now, ever since I got Dawnrazor a bunch of years ago... love this song so much!

  • watch" ANDI SEX GANG KAMIKZE BEAUTY" please

  • Fields of the Nephilim - Godfathers of Darkwave /\/\oo/\/\ ...and the mystic goes on....

  • WOW. I'd never heard of these guys before seeing this video. I'm half way through and I love it... I'm looking for CD's right now lol

  • all i can say...it is great ! 5* ;-)

  • Cider, dry ice, flour, ciggies, hairspray, cheap perfume and a girl in a black dress.

Takes me back to those old & magic days.

  • @LTmumph Cider? Don't you mean snakebite and black!

  • @LTmumph that has made me chuckle! and it wasn't a black dress, it was ridiculously skinny faded back jeans & winkle pickers ;)

  • @LTmumph Fuck I'm there, thanks for that man.... :o)

  • Best live vid I've seen-what a score!

  • @Sir9real - no doubt! The sound quality is actually very good.

  • I guessing that this honor was from our dear government as well. An observation, I'm sure, as they are all failures.

  • absolut geiler text

  • Comment removed

  • speechless

  • omg what a blast from the past, thankyou.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • I love ther texts! feeling and expression.. And MacCoy gives it all to the max... Awesome band... I hope ill se them live some day

  • man! wot a flashback i've just had, skin tight jeans, silk scarves tied around my wrist, rocking slow till the song kicks in, then going crazy. emo's they know nothing!!!!!!!!!!

  • Carl Macoy So goth he shits bats, top band

  • A small venue first row in chicago, the way to see these guys, one on one, mmmmmm soooooo good , miss those days

  • Not to everyones taste but a glimpse into what we've lost ,where individualised music has been cast aside - we used to have a whole range of sounds and styles - now we don't!

  • i am in utter awe

  • Earth Inferno Tour - Hamburg Alsterdorfer Sporthalle.

    Das geilste Konzert meines Lebens.

Blos Front 242 war nicht mein Ding und mit denen wars ja gesplittet ^^

    Danke fürs posting ;)

  • FANTASTIC SONG AND EXTREMELY UNDER-RATED BAND. Thanks for posting this video

  • I love this version. And I love the Nephilim. Fantastic song. Great performance.

  • Stunning clip... I saw them on tour that year..1991...19 years...time flies... I was ,and still is impressed by their remarkable sense for production and symmetry...the way they played...many bands from the "gothic" genre followed trademark guitarpatterns all good but severely limited. The nephs dared to be progressive and managed to create something very unique. The guitars in Laura 2 , long intro on Endemoniada, adapting the poetry of Crowley here & Mourning Suns EPIC construction of songs!

  • McCoy's the best at what he does.

  • This music is so perfect for living in the West..... its the stupid Cowboy Festival thing here, and it always makes me wanna listen the the Neph!

  • I saw these guys in 1989 at the original 9:30 in DC and they double billed with Skinny Puppy. These guys scared the shit outta' me..lol. They were so loud and had no colored lights and they were like zombie white.

  • Great video and great performance. Remember the Nephs being reported in the press as covering themselves with flour for photos to get that authentic dusty look. Were considered by some as sham copy of original Sisters after their demise mid 80's and very pretentious but then they blew everyone away with their first album. I remember being transported listening to it - late at night, of course. Enjoyed very much hearing this again, thanks.

  • is this band beyond cool or wot. and Last Exit For The Lost... there are no words to describe how awsome it is!!!!!!

  • I definitely hear a Doors influence here. Love the scarecrow hat!

  • timeless nephilim.when gothic music was goth rock and meant something.before emo and the infection of goth-rock by electronic muck.BEAUTIFUL..

  • LOL! i expected a documentary "ON" the Nephilim

  • This is da shizzle

  • Encore des frissons d'avoir pu assister à une prestation de ces monstres du goth.

Le corback qui est en moi à encore ses plumes dressées ^^

  • Luv you Carl,, still will be played at my funeral. awesome..

  • I'm never tired of watching this very video. It's just exellent.

  • I like it. Anyone have a nice collection of goth music? I like punk but I've always been curious about gothic music.

  • @wolfservant5 paradise lost,sisters of mercy,lake of tears,christian death...really great gothic music

  • i havent heard this for ages..and only bought the tape from woolies because i had a snog with catherine yates at a british rail social club disco ..fond memories .. hope all`s well still .

  • guitar in the beginning sounds like a starcraft soundtrack

  • brilliant. masterpiece.

  • sound quality on this is really good. I used to call this the "chuck yourself off a bridge song" because when it gets going past the middle there, it really churns you up. I can tell this was an amazing show.

  • I saw this tour.. I brought a friend, who hated them, after the show, he was and still is, a huge fan. 1991.. Astoria.

  • Para mi, el mejor tema de los Nephilim! se me pone la carne da gallina siempre que lo escucho, y haca mas de 17 años que lo hago.

  • gothic rock - western melodies .

  • I feel lucky because I've already seen them live here in Portugal. It was the most beautiful concert I've been! =D

  • had a girl on my shoulders for the whole song,t&c club 92 what a gig, what a girl!!!!

  • they gave a very nice gig here in Oporto... very nice indeed!! =)

  • just epic !

  • I'll finally see them this june in the Hellfest at last, I wish I'll be able to here the call of Cthulhu mouhahahah !!

  • I dedicate this song to my friend, my brother, my love, Frank, who we have left. that his soul be in peace ... Finally. We love you.

  • I am so very sorry my friend. dude - FON is the only way for many things. Peace bro.

  • 27 march 2007 a good friend of mine died...so for me... this is the best song to remember him...Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ...right now...

  • The best song of Fields Of The Nephilm!

  • I totally agree with you. I love lying down in the dark with this on and just losing myself in the melodies .

  • bann SistersofMercy1 from this page..now!

  • Without words....

  • can almost smell the patchouli

  • Great performance.

  • Even without the sound, this is one stunning performance.

  • 9 months later a reply.

Well they don't sing about vampires but they definately, definately I say again definately sing about darkness, death and sadness.and Carl is a witch, even if you don't like that term its close enough.

  • Great performance. Watching this, I'm reminded of how much The Doors were an influence on Gothic rock. It's not necessarily "derivative" of the The Doors, but the homage is certainly there. Morrison would've loved it.

  • I wish these guys would tour the US. What a band! In their genre they are untouchable.
