  • do you clean your brass? and is it necessary to clean the brass before reloading?

  • @littleandres09 I run mine through the tumbler only as often as I see fit. Which is usually after being fired about twice. The main reason I see for cleaning pistol brass is for it to function better in semi autos and to burn cleaner. They can get pretty gummy after being fired a few times.

  • Yep, the Dillon RL550B is one of the best presses you can buy. You have to shoot 4K, or more, per month to really need a 650 or 1050. I can load pistol and rifle rounds faster on my 550, than I can on my Hornady Lock-n-Load with casefeeder.

  • How well do you like the 550? I have the classic cast turret and the load-master and classic cast ss presses, but have been considering one of these for times that i want more speed than the turret, but less than the Load-master and truthfully i really just want to see what all the fuss is about when it comes to this press.

  • @sdt11670 You can easily feel the quality difference between it and lesser presses. And as I mentioned you can get more precise charges. The only thing I don't care for is it's harder to feel the primer seat that it is in the lee or on a single stage.

One of the reasons i changed from the pro 1000 to the loadmaster is because it primes on the upstroke and it's precisely adjustable. There is no feel required, but it does have do be adjusted correctly. Some people prefer to be able to feel them seat, but i like the idea of not having to worry about that. Still want one of these blue ones though.
