When my dad died in 1990 we starting going through everthing he had saved over his 60 odd years. In his "Shop" he had this record in 45rpm. I looked at it and because it was so scratched we let it go. We did play the RCA black and red 45 turntable in the back porch. We thought it was so cool stacking 10 records on the record player and it played them all without doing a thing. Perry Como and Pat Boone was the big players then. Still love Ricky Nelson at the end of Ozzie/Harriet.
No one else can deliver a song with such style and mystique...you never know what he's gonna do next...one thing for sure he is going to captivate you and he's gonna hold you tight for the whole ride! :D There is something loving about his utter abandon..like he's giving you every corner of his soul...the ultimate gift...to give you joy...

I just love the song choices JACKIE61 has posted. Elvis has so many more songs than the "top twenty"; many from his movies. Keep it coming Jackie; and check out the amazing Jake, at "Jack and the Phatmen" (here on YouTube) with his version of "Soldier Boy". Jackie rocks! Elvis lives!
Man those Scotty Moore solos are just the greatest! That's viruosity for you - do it simple. Those boys were writing the history book as they went along.... love it.
I have this along with tons more sun recordings on a 2 disc set I got from the store xD! Love this. I used to have these songs set to wake me up in the morning for school when I was younger.
woohooooooo! long live the king!!! i been to the states for the 1st time in my life, and i got into Graceland!!!! the kings castle!!! this song is just so wonderful, the heydays of elvis!!!
Written by Bob Shelton, Joe Shelton, and Sid Robin. Elvis recorded it September 10, 1954 at Sun Records. It remained unreleased until his first LP, Elvis Presley was released in March 1956. It was the B-side to Blue Moon. It is available on Elvis Presley, The Sun Sessions, and The King of Rock n Roll-The Complete 50s Masters.

Originally, an unreleased Sun song! Probably included on Elvis' first album against his wishes. Doug Poindexter is somewhere in the proceedings.
