As a Christian, I can pray without moving my lips, without closing my eyes, and without kneeling or making irregular gestures. Why some Christians are complaining so much about the "banning" of prayer in US schools is beyond me. Not everybody is going to want to, not everybody is going to care. There was an Jehovah's Witness kid in my class in 2nd grade. They don't believe in celebrating holidays. Every Christmas, Halloween, St. Valentine's Day, Birthday, etc. he had to set out of all the traditions and customs, and we couldn't give him any Valentine Cards of Easter baskets. Should the schools have gotten rid of all holiday celebrations so Jehovah's Witnesses don't get offended? Would not doing so violate his religious freedom? Think about that, Atheists.

As a Christian, I can pray without moving my lips, without closing my eyes, and without kneeling or making irregular gestures. Why some Christians are complaining so much about the "banning" of prayer in US schools is beyond me. Not everybody is going to want to, not everybody is going to care. Definitely not everybody is going to benefit. Shoving our doctrine down the throats of others is no way to gain fellow believers. We evangelize by the way we live if we do it right; rare as that is.

There was an Jehovah's Witness kid in my class in 2nd grade. They don't believe in celebrating holidays. Every Christmas, Halloween, St. Valentine's Day, Birthday, etc. he had to set out of all the traditions and customs, and we couldn't give him any Valentine Cards of Easter baskets. Should the schools have gotten rid of all holiday celebrations so Jehovah's Witnesses don't get offended? Would not doing so violate his religious freedom? Think about that, Atheists.

@ColibriAnna08 As for your school holiday comments, Holiday is synonymous with Day Off. So the problem is not my reading comprehension, the problem lies in your complete ineptitude to write a coherent sentence. Maybe you'd be able to write better if you let go of your religious security blanket for 5 seconds. God is man-made insanity, it makes morally sound people act or think in completely horrible ways. Oh so you're claiming family fun as "religious" just like you nut jobs try to claim Marriage (Which was around far before religion). "Jesus" and "god" were not spoken in my house, ever, not during any day of the week, holiday or not. Christmas, like Easter, are capitalistic non-sense holidays, not religious (Unless you go to church)

@ColibriAnna08 "Christmas" actually used to be a winter festival celebrated by pagans until the christian church decided that they needed to celebrate Jesus's birth. It was their attempt to bring people away from the drinking, games, and just pure awesomeness that used to happen in December. SO...if you really want to argue it, Christians are spreading their religion at a time that was originally designated for drinking and hardcore partying. Hate to break it you. (Also, I call it the holidays)

I don't see why you're so offended that atheists celebrate during the time of "christmas" even though your religion really takes place on what was originally a pagan holiday. @ProudMemberofMCRMY Bigotry, by definition, is prejudice against people of a differing opinion. What Atheists believe do not upset me or provoke me. I have a huge problem with the way most of them behave. In my lifetime, I have only met one Atheist who did not fit the description of other Atheists who use degrading words and arrogance attitudes to harass believers. There is no hate in me. Only a firm stand against the people I find intolerant and argumentative.

@ColibriAnna08 Have to wonder how many Atheists you know. Fact is, people are often assholes regardless of what they believe or where they are from. Most Christians I've met are smug and condesending jerkoffs who make me want to punch them in the face for openly insulting me with a smile. The fact I don't shows I'm a decent person, and the fact I don't verballs eviscerate them proves I'm a better person then they are. Some Christians aren't like that, and I get on fine with them.

I know many Athiests... the only non-believers I know how don't carry a false and pretentious sense of importance in their opinions over anyone else's is agnostics. Atheists ridicule religion.

@ColibriAnna08 Not all atheists do this, and I think you are confused about the definition of agnosticism.
To be agnostic is to be unsure of the existence of God. It is possible to be agnostic and atheist at the same time. In fact, I feel we are all agnostics, because none of us know, but we all have our own convictions one way or the other.
Personally, I COULDN'T care less what you believe.
