I agree with you. Dragonforce are let down by what seems to be poor sound checks at some venues. Not their fault the majority of the time, yet stupid people who know nothing about music tend to bag them out live for all the wrong reasons. Fact: Bands are supposed to sound raw live, that's the whole point. Besides, where else am I going to be able to watch the amazing Herman Li Whammy Bar Slam? lol
