Wow! Thanks so much for bringing back my younger days in the 1960's when I would hear Mac sing Saturday nights on WWVA in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a kid growing up in PA, I can recall listening, sometimes through the static of the radio, to the songs right here. Time flies but old memories last forever. Thanks so much for sharing. Another great song by Mac was "When You and I Were Young, Maggie." Perhaps this can be included one of these days as well. Thanks again.
This guy had a TOUGH childhood, yet he was always cheerful and smiling. He showed the world how to persevere when faced with adversity. What a great man!
@albert19ful Glad you enjoyed the show, and can remember it, I was the chap who put the show on, And Mac was still playing at 3 am in my house, a fanstatic bloke
Mac Wiseman was one of my Dad's very favorites...I can still remember hearing that sweet tenor voice of his on Saturdays when my Dad pull out the fold-up Sylvania hi-fi when I was boy in the 60s and early 70s....can't wait to show these Mac Wiseman YouTube videos to my Mom.
So True Paulina". I as a kid first saw Mac at the old WSB Barn Dance in Atlanta back in the 40s and he is ever bit "As Good Now As He Was Then". Never ever changed his style and Never used a Cheater Bar on his Guitar. I have My 78 RPM Disc of His Immortal "Tis Sweet To Be Remembered" autograped by Mac and Center Place in My Music Room. Give Mac A Song, and He'll Bluegrass It. Thank You and All, for Your Kind Remarks Of My Hero. Mr. Mac Wiseman of Crimora, Viriginny.... :-). JLV.
Another great song by Mac. Mac has had so many looks throughout the years - like me he loses weight, gains it back and loses again! His voice is fantastic and never changes. I could listen to him all day. Mac makes any song sound good. It seems that any song he has ever sung has become a classic. Love this video. Thanks. - Paula

I met him last year and he still sounds the same, very joyful and bright. He just has aged a lot since this video was made, he's 83now.

One of very few remaining legends left in Bluegrass. He owns these tunes!
