Yes! Nutrition is a great approach to easing MS symptoms. I do believe it's imiportant to manage expectations as to how much a proper diet alone can do, though. An all natural approach is being developed by hopetrials, and you can now enroll for their nation wide study if you have MS. All you do is fill out an internet based monthly surveys. Research hopetrials, and learn about what makes the research different from conventional methods.

Omega 3s, low saturated-fat diet (<10g/day), vitamin D (5000IU/day), and a multivitamin. Takes time to regenerate the brain with the right fat (15 weeks to 2 years), but it will help build myelin and reduce inflammation in the long run.
High Saturated Fat diet -> young age (active thymus) -> exposure to herpesviridea or other neurovirus -> high permeability of BBB caused by poor, brittle structure from high saturated fat diet, low levels of vitamin D -> T cells in CNS -> sensitization of T Cells -> later onset of MS -> recovery -> anything that can cause a proper situation for episodes (stress, Epstein Barr, etc.) -> disability
Betaseron or Interferon beta-1b, you will want to take 600 to 800mg of Advil or Motrin @ least 30 min. prior to injection to decrease flu like symptoms post injection. Check out using your own stem cells for M.S. remission.
Thank God for drug cos. & Drs. who do medical & drug research & treat patients, those of you who criticize docs for making a living why don't YOU go to 12 years of medical school then???? ANYONE who's degree requires 12 yrs or > of undergrad, postgrad & doctorate or MBA DESERVE to make a good living & no I am not a doctor. I am tired though of the CEO's of health ins.cos. making $14 mill & up / year. That, is well beyond a "good living", it is criminal. Then they deny you & your Dr. payment!
why do people care if you take this for your ms. so what its a shot companys will make money as doc make money if it helps with ms and you can take it thats great never give up hope there will be a cure for this. so i say god family and friends you will live. love april
Interesting that Canada also has a disproportionately high rate of Crohn's, also an autoimmune disorder. I read years back that MS has a higher incidence the further one resides from the equator.
There are a lot of people working very hard to find a cure for MS. Obviously the pharmaceutical companies want to make money, but MS has stumped neurologists for years. There is no cure because we just aren't that technologically advanced yet. It isn't just being hidden from MS patients or something. If there was a cure.. it would be out there, but cost millions of dollars. It doesn't exist.
There is a cure for almost all diseases!!! The shitty ass pharmaceutical companies wouldn't make any profits if they cured us instead of keeping people sick and dependent upon their drugs. We all need to work together to discover the cures and utilize natural remedies for illness instead of buying drugs that only make us worse. Cannabis oil has been proven to inhibit the growth of cancer, but if you get caught with it you'll go to jail. You cant patent a natural product, that's why its illegal!
@pidos847 exactly, big pharma want nothing to do with this because theres no money in it for them.nothing will come of this treatment in canada because big pharma won't let it.they want nothing more than to keep the poor people on their pathetic fucking drugs, these bunch of fucking animals.
Chech this OUT!!! i just recieved my MS magazine in the mail and there isnt one mention of the liberation treatment, but there is an article about blood thinning meds.........the BS in this country is slowly starting to be revealed.............
There are many smart doctors in the world. Some of the smartest (my opinion only) are the doctors with an open mind to help the patient. Dr. Zamboni's theory males perfect sense and it does offer hope to all MS patients. My neurologist is looking into this more by doing some doppler testing. I am on the list to be tested. Hope is all that many MS people have to hold onto. This seems so real, I hope all doctors keep an open mind.
These doctors are going to look like morons if Dr. Paulo Zamboni's new theory on the cause of MS is proven true. It looks very very promising. Look it up, " The Liberation Treatment"
Luccia Reynolds has narrowing of the veins. My brother was on that drug...IT DOES NOT WORK..many side affects too.Drugs companies are making Billions from these drugs that DO NOT work. The doctors endorse it because they get free trips and all kinds of perks from Drug companies.
ABC News reports on how Multiple Sclerosis was effectively treated by a new acoustic medical device. The technology, Medsonix also has a profound beneficial effect on a wide range of medical disorders and is FDA registered as a Class One Medical Device, the safest classification possible. ... lucky you the government in england is totally confused and still is at its early stages for providing help i.e giving some treatment that does help not make you futher deterioate
saturated fat can cause blood cells to stick together, and eventually they cannot carry oxygen and nutrients to some nerve cells (seriously, i'm not making this up)we all should eat less beef and fried foods
recently I have heard about a treatment based on a diet,I see what you guys are talking about, even though most are sure that it is autoimmune, there have been studies that say it is linked to eating too many allergen products and too many saturated fats. it said that during the world wars, most people could not afford products such as meat and a lot less people had multiple sclerosis
It doesnt have to be in early stages my friend,i know a woman whos symptoms went away after she had MS for over twenty it is not permanent damage folks and dont let them tell you this....if you have the determination you can do it....
ask yourself this...if MS causes "irreversible" damage, how come peoples symptoms go away completely...They dont want you to know about the details and they just want to push the dope....
Someone answer this for me...If the myelin is destroyed around the nerves, then how come symptons dissapear completely????? on some people!!!! thay dont want to cure this...they want to make millions pushing dope...my daughters midwife got rid of her symptoms by fasting and proper diet and excersise....she used to be wheelchair bound now she runs around a maternity ward...
Sometimes there can be some remyelination in people who have MS, if it's at an early-enough stage in the disease. That means some of the symptoms may go away for a while, but if the disease progresses, they often recur.
And FWIW, there -are- some people working on a cure that aren't in it for the money. :) Good luck to you.
i now know of three people who have fasted changed their diets to organic vegetarian excersised and meditated and they reversed their symptoms...the pharmas dont want you to know this folks...there is no money in natural cures...please check it out...The USA has the highest amounts of autoimune disease because of our synthetic, chemically laden diets.....its a scam....they dont care....
I recently attened an MS society sympossium with my wife in NYC...after the presentations which by the way were all about drugs, i asked one of the expert speakers about diet with MS....and he really didnt want top comment. saying "we dont really have enough info yet on that" My wife and i went home....
The MS society in the US wont say a bad word about Aspartame because they are funded by the big drug company that churns out that deadly crap.,Prokarin is also SURPRESSED by the MS society because they are in bed with the big DRUG cartels.
Betaseron only reducing attacks by 30%. Meanwhile, it causes pain, flu like symptoms, weakness, and depression. It also causes ugly and painful injection site reactions that take weeks to go away, and you have to inject every other day! This medicine is a big loser.
none of da meds work trust its all propaganda ive tried every one n sure it works 4 a while but when it come back IT COMES BACK tell me this: why would big pharma wanna cure it if they make billions off all this bullshit?
Betaseron is not the only drug that has this benefit. Avonex which I take was the 1st to prove this and is a much easier drug to take. It is once a week only.
I have tried almost the whole ABC of DMD's I have experienced horrible reactions. Now I just lieve day-to-day and try to stay out of problems (falls) use a wheelchair 24/7 and my fatigue levels have decreased very much. Nice commercial about the "B" but they forget to say that there are people that might have allergic reactions sometimes requiring hospitalization.
this is crazy!!! Rick Simpson HAVE cure but they don't alow him to have licence for it. This is TRULY crazy! Why no one talk about that? Crazy!!!!

oh, by the way, isn't myelin made out of some fatty matter?
personally, I think that the fact that saturated fat can resemble myelin might trigger the autoimmune response
