But I'll say this, within the space of perhaps 6/7 years I've seen great bands like ocean colour scene/ the inspiral carpets/ shed 7 (do you know any of these btw?) being reduced to northern music stereotypes all the while a bunch of pretenders come in e.g. the killers and fucking franz ferdinand wearing fancy arse clothes trying to all bohemian. The bad thing is we'll never hear a song like champagne supernova again! And worse than that, people are buying this shit!

Nothing. Check out a band called Evelyn Evelyn. It consists of a man and a woman dressed up in an outfit that makes them look like conjoined twins. Now thats original. Black Veil Brides, Slipknot, The Main Drag, The Black Keys and Nappy Roots are just some of the many other actual original bands

Anyone with any sense, who doesn't dig the Kooks, can see that he's just some indie chancer, who broke up his previous band, hired a load of sessions musicians, to make a wad off of the monkeys success

That may be the case, but tough, he's 2 years late to the party. Just doing a bad, dated version of the Arctic Monkeys, comes across as being a cynical, record label attempt to cash in on a bit of "scene building". Plus, he has to be the cheesiest lyricist since Chris de Burgh.
