Laptop Screen Problems

i have a problem with mine

all the lights will turn on but the scroll, caps, and number lock will start blinking and the screen will stay dark and i don't know what the problem is

My screen always acts up on me, its always static-like. The closer it is to closing, the shaky-er it gets, or the darker screen gets it gets all shaky. And the only way to make it stop is to hit it. Lol it really works. But yeah, I need help to stop it completely!

My screen went black 1 year after I got the computer. I sent it back for repair, they fixed it, and, 4 months later, it went black on me again!! If I have a VERY bright light (like, the sun, or a kleig light) aimed at the screen I CAN see what's on it, but dimly, so, apparently the sceen IS working, it's just not bright at ALL! The external screen works fine. Re-repairing it out of warranty (which ended a week before the 1st time it died) will cost more than I paid for the whole computer!!

ok, if by hooking up the VGA cable with other external peripheral device with positive results means the laptop screen is not screwed up totally.That is a good news. The problem,however may be more than just a simple loose wire. Some other problems that may associate with it are more likely the problem with the inverter and the back light If the screen is visible for sometime before turning black more or less likely it has some problem with the inverter.Just type how to change laptop inverter.

Hi I have a problem with my pc I have a Vaio F113FX and the problem is that when I turn the computer on the green ligths is fine,but suddenly the backligth in the keyboard turns on even if there is light but my screen stays dark like if I never turne my pc on,also I tooked the battery and left the ac cord plug to my pc I press the turn on button and my pc can turn on without a battery PLEASE I NEED HELP PLEASE

@jrca114 Download the display and power management drivers from Sony. The may help or make it worst.

i just installed a new lcd screen on the lenovo S10 series, and the screen shows a solid red,green,white,blue screen and then keeps going through this cycle. I have checked the lcd cables on the mother board and the one that connects to the lcd,but no luck. I do get display on the external monitor...

i can hear windows running in the back ground.

what is the problem?

my laptop screen wont work its not that its broken or anything the laptop itself works but when i turn it on a white screen with some designs comes up and i cant do anything because all i can see is the white screen anybody no what the problem is my friend mention that it could be the video card so what am i supposed to do?

google "Acer TravelMate 2480-2943 replacement screen" and click shopping... looks like they run 100-150 rather cheep for a screen, also ebay it, just remember replacement screens are fragile and very easy to break...

please help.. tha black portion of my Toshiba Qosmio x305 LCD has some orange/gold particles and the some of the white portion of the screen has turned into light green.. i dont know how to fix it ...

@jerardjestoni Carefully rub on the trouble area. If not, you can't really fix a dead pixel. Also try downloading the display driver from Toshi..

it is the high voltage inverter in the back of the lcd, if the monitor still has output Via the vga then the video card is fine, instead of replacing a whole lcd do an ebay search for a high voltage inverter for your laptop, it controls all backlighting and is a very common thing to go out amongst laptops i have had replace a few in my time.

I have a quick possible solution!

Hit the FN key and the function for LCD/VGA Switch! It had probably been switched to VGA only (External) instead of Simultaneous.

this problem is probably the high voltage inverter located on the back of the lcd that controls the backlight led

You seem so content on the connection being bad, yet you fail to acknowledge the fact that LCD screens burn out prematurely as well. Had a screen burn out after 4300hrs, not non-stop, but this was the actual life of the light, gone too soon!

@broadbandfreak Sounds right. On full power LCD last up to 5K hrs. On the lowest bightness its 10k hrs.

some laptops have a switch that toogles between the laptop screen and the vga port. He may have hit by accident and he has forgotten, or just didn't know, about the switch.
