Actually, you can. Try installing the Xconfig mod on the demo, and you get this part for some reason. Just don't jump off the cliff. The game screws up after that.

no he didn't its actually in the level, but blocked off unless you spawn past the ship in the sandbox. thats actually the rest of the level, probably not all of it, but that's official.
