i've met some pretty great people in canada, but none of them are a border patrol person.

Lets see, i pay 70% of my money to the canadian government so they can TRY to tell me what i can and cannot say, watch and listen to; pay for overpriced, mediocre phone, cable and other services offered by oligopolies; to freeze my ass off 8 months out of the year; to watch hardened criminals get away with a slap on the wrist; to watch border guards give innocent people gestapo treatments; fund a crappy health "diagnosis"system etc.

on the same day, a political activist friend of mine was detained similarly.. coming into canada.. his things were rifled through, and his phone was taken from him to be 'inspected' privately. they most likely downloaded all the info from it.
looks like we are moving into a new stage of the police state.

I had a similar experience being detained by Canadian customs, only my gestapo like experience occurred at Vancouver Airport. I was coming to Canada to speak, some people dropped a dime who were trying to block me from coming in, and I got strip searched and interrogated for an hour. They fine tooth combed my luggage unscrewing lids on all vitamin bottles to ID the contents. Finally, they let me in, but I've known for long time Canada is a Fascist country. John Hammell, IAHF

Canada is a fascist country and my attitude towards border guards that i pay for out of my tax dollars, with the fact i am not a criminal is that they can ROYALY KISS MY ASS when they go over the line with their attitude.

As a Canadian I wish to apologize for the Nazi Tactics of my Border guards for They Don't Represent the rest of us.
I am disgusted and the fact that they would ask about the Olympics.
Screw Vanoc and the 2010 Games not many people from the Lower Mainland could care. This does not Represent Canada.
