My old buddy Niel Robbinson used to be the drummer, John Willmot used to be the sax player......all in the early days....late 80s. Hello boys, Adam Lane.
Fair enough Modeace1 but do bear in mind they're playing a Jazz festival. If you've not seen them live since the 80s i'll assume you're not a devoted fan.....
Because the real metallic pluck of the bass gives a good completion to the click of the organ... and probably because us bassists make such a big thing about being at the center of funk music. Which is actually very partial because I personally believe that the guitar strumming techniques are what ultimately funkify the whole thing.
Last saw JTQ live back in the 80's, in Northampton. clip too jazzy for me maybe they should remember their Mod routes without us they would'nt be where they are today.Oh yeah thanks for the lift the Trojans from Peterbough
Jtq is symply fabulous. They're cool, excellent musicians, and james is really a good composer. "Wait a minute" and "In the hand of the inevitable" are fantastic albums I strongly recommend.
