  • if you goin the club, likew MTH O27 club do you pay for the car and $50, or $50 and get the car for free

  • @fatzGeronimo You pay $50 and the car is included.

  • @esiegel76 Ok thankyou

  • If I attend a railroaders club, is that restricted for adults or is that for everyone?

  • @TheGordon4 It depends on the club, but most train clubs don't have an age requirement.

  • @esiegel76 Can I run the 2011 Weaver club car on O-36? Or should I save and get a MTH starter set?

  • @continentalb737800 It should run on o-36

  • Do you know if MTH and Atlas O offer student discounts? I'm looking at Railking and Industrial Rail.

  • @continentalb737800 I don't think so.

  • Bridge looks great. I like "B" the best. I worked for a steel company in NC in their bridge division many years ago and this looks the most like the A588 weathering steel that is still used today in NC. It is not a painted finish but a steel that will rust to a somewhat consistant color. Looks great.

  • Eric-

Good job!! Maybe in another video you could discuss the club car offerings for the various clubs around the US. For example I always pick up the Milwaukee Road cars (both O scale/027) from the Lionel Railroad Club of Milwaukee. I've also picked up TCa cars in the past as a TCA member.

  • @MUEagle2002 I'd love to do that, but it would mean joining all those clubs and I don't have to money to do that, plus most of those clubs are O-27 clubs and not O-scale and I'm mainly into O-scale. Nice idea though.

  • What activities and events are featured in the clubs? And do you have to go, I'm wondering. Thanks!

  • @CookiesAndGuns95 There are no events or activities. It's not that kind of club. You just join so that you can get the club car and the newsletters and whatever else they give you.

  • The Weaver Club seems to be a real good deal....thanks for the info

  • do u hav any tips for a 12 year old railroader

  • Oh thx anyway

  • Did ur bridge come Eric

  • @starbuckslover556 Not yet.

  • I've been thinking about joining a club and now you've given me the information I needed. Hope you had a good New Year.

  • Well done, Eric.

  • Thanks Eric. Very informative. Happy New Year

  • Eric: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Nice video. Is that a viaduct or trestle pier behind you? Can't wait to see your trains on the "high iron". Steve ...

  • @MU2DRVRca That's a temporary trestle to help me figure out where the track and towers will need to be when I order the actual trestle.

  • I am surprised that you did not get the modern Saskatchewan Potash Trinity 5161 Cu. Ft. 3-Bay Hopper. Do you already have enough modern rolling stock?

  • @AndrewNeilFalconer Just didn't want it.

  • Happy New Year Eric! Why don't you get me the Weaver membership as an early birthday present??

  • @maxstrains Right.

  • @esiegel76 - C'mon Eric, aren't you supposed to be getting kids into trains?? Just for that I might quit the hobby.

  • @maxstrains The hobby would be much better off without you, Max. :)

  • @esiegel76 - I'll remember that Eric......

  • Thanks again for a fine video!

  • Thanks Eric. I like the Weaver club the best!!

  • eric can you buy these car retal without a club membership

  • @somestupiedpeople1 No, that's the point.

  • Wow great info Eric! I'm going to have to do a couple of these! Thanks for sharing! Happy new year to you and your family.

  • i forgot to put this in the first comment, but I see you got one of your bridges. Did the other come in too?

  • @Weiberts That's just a temporary thing to help me figure out where that trestle will be and what shape it will need to be. It's not strong enough to hold a train.

  • Great video! I might join the Weaver club. I had planned on joining the MTH Premier club, but the 2011 car doesn't really strike my fancy.

  • Great video, happy new year.

  • great video eric learned some stuff i never knew now i might subscribe to a few clubs rather then just pick up the catalog at my local hobby store

  • Great video Eric! Happy New Year to you too! Gerry

  • Nice video Eric! Happy New Year to you too! Just out of curiosity what is the minimum curve that o gauge scale cars can run on? I am interested in buying some sometime and I want to make sure they can run on my new layout.

  • @Bassfanatic94 It depends on the size of the car.

  • @Bassfanatic94 The 40' and 50' O Scale cars usually require O36 and O42 minimum curves.

The 60' to 90' O Scale cars are better operated on O54 to O72 curves, since they are 17" long or longer.

  • great video...

i'm very happy i found your channel. happy new year to you and best wishes for 2011

  • Eric, Happy New Year!!! Thanks for the great information!! I like the Atlas and weaver clubs the best. I'm not a member of any club at this time but, I do subscribe to Classic Toy Trains!! Awesome video Happy New Year!!

  • thanks for info Eric! im def going for weaver a shirt and boxcar and mug? Hell Yeah! happy New Year!

  • The thing i love the most about mth is that you can buy previous club cars. now i own all premier line club cars!!!! Each older car cost $25!!!! That is amazing!!!

  • I love the mth club!!! Greatest thing i ever subribed to! I do premier for the great detail!!! Well with the exeption of Classic Toy Trains!

  • I joined the MTHRRC in 2007 for 1 Gauge. I dropped it in 2008 because all I was doing was paying for the car. All of the catalogs and newsletters were on O Scale. The car that year was a Norfolk and Western 4 bay hopper in red, white, and blue.
