If you read GWR 2008 you can clearly read the Leonid Stadnyk has yet to be officially measured by GWR. They decided to let him in the book because "endocrinologist and gigantism expert Micheal Besser(UK) found him to be 8'5.5" (2.57 m) tall. GWR has accepted Besser's professional measurement but hopes to assess Stadnyk formally soon." quote from page 12 of GWR 2008. Read pages 12 and 64 of GWR 2008 where they say the haven't officially measured him.
