Do you stop watching (if ever) CSI or Law and Order because the episodes are predictable? No, each episode has different characters, events and locations. Avatar is the same plot that's been used before, basically the big bad government wants to destroy nature so the underdog(mainly native american type people) fight them off and win to make a pro environment statement. THis plot has been used before, Cameron just made it look pretty.

The message is fine, saving the environment is important, but that doesn't excuse the horrible movie. They only reason people watched was because it looked good. @metalgear418 A movie having the message of a previous message from anything isn't a fair criticism. SAW 1-6 all have something different to show and new information on the entire story. Like any mystery investigation, detectives know what happened but not how who and why. Not carring about the victem can't plug your ears on the message.
On the case of the game, it's only the second one and already is getting shit when people don't have to watch nor play. IMDB isn't a credible source and

@clipsryan IMDB is credible since the ratings are the public opinion of the movies and not the critics. The messages are pretty much the same. Don't be a dick in life and you won't get killed by a psychopath. if i don't care about the victim them i forget the message. Last year this girl told me her house burnt down. i didn't care at all, not because im mean but because i didn't know her. later that year my friend told me her dog died, and i actually felt sad for her because i knew her.

@metalgear418 Most of the public opinion is based on biased and unfair opinions that I could care less about. Jigsaw doesn't kill these "dicks" he forces to them stop mistreating their life. Most are gonna die anyway and the traps force to them appreciate their lives. Well, I don't forget the message so big deal. I don't cherry pick messages just because the victem doesn't relate to me. That's pretty fucking selfish.

@clipsryan considering you public opinion as well it doesn't make sense for you not to care. The characters don't have to relate to you, they just have to be likable. If you don't like a person than you wont care why or how he died. If Jigsaw wants to teach them a lesson that it doesn't make sense for him to kill them. If he kills them than all that trouble he went to to teach them the errors of their way was just pointless.

@metalgear418 They relate to reality and have flaws that most of us carry. I shouldn't have to relate to someone to care about them learning a lesson for their bettermen (which makes me like and respect them). You sure you've seen these movies? He doesn't kill them, he puts them in a situation (relating to their flaw) to test if they truly wanna continue living. If he wanted to kill them, they wouldn't be called tests. He even tests the subjects that have passed a test incase of withdrawl.

@clipsryan It isn't a fair test if you scared shitless. He puts them in a situation where they are scared out of their mind, i don't know if you've noticed, but when you scared to death its a little hard to think straight. If he wants to kill people for their flaws then he might as well kill everyone. Just because a person is mean or doesn't appreciate life like he wants them to doesn't mean they deserve to be tested in a situation that will kill them.

@metalgear418 My opinions aren't used to rate a film that I may hate but others may love. I just wanna know the films details not abunch of opinions. To conclude, when a victem fails, the cops know the test which is why they've been tested aswell. Sometimes pain and fear of death is the only thing that gets certain people's attention. He doesn't just slaughter innocent teens like Myers, Jason and Hannibal. Read the Jigsaw bio.

He is killing innocent people, who's only crime is being jerks to everyone. sometimes death is the only way to get the attention of people. If he wanted to teach them a lesson then all he has to to is scare the crap out of them not kill them. He knows that people die from his test, if he had any inelegance he would realize that all his victims die making the test pointless.

@metalgear418 I'm not stating opinions, I'm stating facts. He is putting people who are already killing themselvs and / or others an testing if they truly wanna live. He almost died before he started his work and after appreciating life more, he found his duty was to correct those who harm themselvs and others. There are cops who prevent others from wearing seetbelts and comitting suicide but that's THEIR live and THEIR way. The difference is they use medication and he uses fear.

@clipsryan The thing is fear doesn't work. It's like if i respect someone out of fear that's not respect. If i only listen to someone because im afraid than that's not a good thing. People need to learn their lessons on their own, if not then they wont appreciate anything. I cant point a gun at someones head and tell them if they don't pass my test im going to kill them. Him finding it his duty to correct people isn't his right, it's not his job or anyone else to correct the lives of others.

Actually it's like someone who's put in a life threatening situtation and actually realises they wanna live or should change before they continue to be a burden on society. It doesn't take a tests worth of knowledge to appreciate life. It's funny how you say there's nothing special about these films though you get heated on a debate about the justification of a character's actions and not the purpose of the film anymore.

@clipsryan If he's correcting other peoples lives then he might as well put himself in a test because what he does isn't right. Even if he does it to murderers and rapists it's still not right. Making others "appreciate" life more does not involve torture and death. All he is, is a psychopathic sadist. If i almost die and appreciate life more all i would do is tell people they should appreciate what they have and tell them my story. I wouldn't go on a killing spree.

@clipsryan No it's not just this film, what gets me to debate is the fact that people now a days watch movies, and that's all they do. People now never bother to analyze them or think about them more, they only watch it if it looks good. It's a problem that affects billions.
when your in a life death situation you can think a little more straight. But all the characters wake up after being drugged. I've been drugged with morphine after surgery and for that whole day i couldn't think straight.

@clipsryan so i don't think it's fair to test them like that. It's like entering a race but another racers kicks you knee. It's just not fair. And this million dollar franchise isn't special. The last time i checked the entire SAW Franchise only won 6 awards. That's not good when six movies combined share a total of 6 awards, none of them being Oscars. when a single movie such as Francis For Coppola's Apocalypse Now won 14 awards, 2 of them being Oscars.

Using other people's opinions about a movie aswell as your opinion of Jigsaw's justification for his actions STILL doesn't prove your point that these films have no originality just because they're tied to the same story.

@clipsryan Bikers? What are you talking about? I never said they didn't have originality. SAW itself is unique, but the movies are all the same, the story or characters aren't changed enough in order for it to be called a different movie. Freddy, Jayson, Myers they're all have the same movie, but because they change the premise, the characters and the way the story is told it makes them different movies. SAW doesn't bother to change the story it only changes the characters.

The reason the new movies aren't popular is because everyone's seen it all. They now the story, they now the outcome it's nothing new anymore.

I enjoy that they're like a jigsaw puzzle were you kinda Know the entire story but not how it gets there. I will continue to watch the films and play the games so I'll leave it at that.

@clipsryan I watched the first two saw movies and after that watching them bored me. I was able to tell who was going to die right away. Sadly A LOT of horror/Gore movies these days suffer from this. Especially when it involves Eli Roth.
