well, if you're starting out it helps to use TAB. just google like "muse hysteria bass tab". its self explanatory. after a little while tho you'll want to pick the songs out by ear. sounds hard, but you get it pretty quick.

your average person like that hasnt heard a band without a bassist. ones like the white stripes can pull it off. but a garage band with 2 guitarists and drums sounds like shit. not everyone can b jack white and make up for it. bass is the heart if you ask me.
