The slow loris that I saw in the zoo was so inquisitive about humans. He actually went up to the glass and tried to touch me, aww. So that got me all interested in this creature. A slow loris seems like a lot of work to take care of -- these owners look like they're giving it love, space, and plenty of activities to keep it busy. I don't see how this is as bad as some people say.
RuinerxxSINCITY: I do have to say that though this does not help the actual cause (nor does it raise awareness of its endangered status and actually causes the loris to look domesticated and thus safe), it is reassuring to know that these owners seem like good people with good intentions for their loris. These animals should not be kept as pets, but at least these people are taking good care of it.
Ohhh be quiet! Considering how endangered their species is you should realize how important it is for some of these to be safe in captivity. If you have a some kind of problem with them being kept in doors where they are safe then don't watch the videos. There are a lot of people who are curious about these, and the vids raise awareness which is only going to help keep these cute animals from extinction. From what I have seen in this director's videos it looks like they treat it like a queen/king!
Keeping the lorises as pets won't really help their cause even if it's "safe captivity" because these people do not seem to be striving to help the loris succeed in the wild. They're actually harming the cause by domesticating them and thus reducing their skill set for survival in the wild as well as preventing them from finding a mate. Real efforts include habitat preservation, rescue, skill teaching, breeding, then reintroduction into the wild.
its cute but should be in the trees! they are nocturnal and like to be in the dark! poor wee creature! wish i could put it back where it came from. and to the person who bought it IDIOT
why is it that you and some person with the name ragdoll use this exact same comment on each of these videos about loris? If you are going to try and appear like some all knowing voice of reason then atleast write your own comment, not just copy and paste. This little one is being treated extremely kindly, so go find a real cause. Some of us actually care about Slow Lorises and aren't just ignorant users who are trying to look like they know what is best!Wonderful vid!keep'em coming please! :)

Slow Loris are endangered because people keep them as pets. Please, if you must keep one, at least keep it quiet and don't promote this practice.
