  • Hey, I use this effect as a force field in my short movie. It's at 1.40 into video. Check it out.

  • need color correction.... A whole freaking LOT!

  • :S bad. rly.

  • IS THE WORST CRAP I EVER SEEN

  • careful, you just might hurt my feelings.

  • cmon man, just look it :/ xD

  • jesus harsh man ha, the kids trying

  • color correction is the most important thing amateurs usually forget. it's use can make or brake a shot. or in this case, absence there of.

  • actually i did a bit of color correction, i was using a shitty ass camera to take that, so it was about as good as i could make it with my current skills.

  • ok fair enough. but i was referring to flickering light reflections on the street. you want to sell its intensity.

  • yeah that bothered me to, Much to learn i still have.

  • @RoninCyanide Its not bad, but i would have added a curves over the top of everything to make it fit alittle better. That said you should try to put it in a video using track motion next :)

  • you could try duplicating the background layer, then creating a mask around where you want the road to light up, feather it out a lot, then go colour correction>curves, and push the rgb curve up a bit depending on how bright you want it. then lower the opacity a bit if its too harsh. or you could create a solid, use the mask tool to cut out where you want it to glow, and change the blending mode to add, then drop the opacity

  • looks terrible. sorry.

  • why are you sorry?

I could probably do better if i had a bit more experience, The tutorial i was following was using a completely different background so it certainly loses something from the original. Plus i'm not exactly a master or anything so i can't say i followed it exactly as i should have.

Although i don't think i did to bad for my first try, that really is just my opinion.

  • yeah its good for your first try. I did the tutorial but not on my own footage so maybe its harder than it seems.

  • Oh when i say first try i mean.. it's my first try using After Effects. It took me awhile following that tutorial but i'm learnin' :P

I don't know if it's really "harder" it just didn't look as pretty when it's all said and done..

  • you should have the road lighting up at least other wise it looks like its just pasted ontop of a photo

  • hmm, how would i go about doing that? I had the little glowy effect right under the energy ball thingy but i suppose that should have been transparent..

  • I dont see any papers lying aroud there?

  • Lol good video

I tried to do this and I couldn´t xD
