my daughter had a small boil and it was about one inch well msra got into it and it went up to 30 inches long, yes they first drain out 6oz of fluid then it grew back and then they open it up . she was in the hospital for 9 days, now its has stitches on the ends and the rest is being left open. she was getting the packing changed twice a day now it's once.. I had MRSA from a spider bite, that of course, got infected. Once it started to get larger I went to my GP right away. They gave me heavy antibiotics, told me to keep it covered with a band-aid, and apply heat to it. It drained on its own, but still needed a little help from the GP. I was lucky. Once you get MRSA, you are more susceptible to get it in the future.

I was 19 when I had a bad sprain and it's never been the same since and now I'm 40 but a sprain doesn't compare to what happened to her. She's 1 brave lady.

The only part I was puzzled by was the beginning with them removing as the video titled as "fat", was that because of the Rhino accident that they had to do that or the first sign of the MRSA that got worse after being stitched up because they were unaware it was a staph infection?
I had a colostomy operation ten years ago, and got MRSA in the rear wound where my anus used to be - I was in hospital for just under a month, and was very close to it infecting my blood stream which would have been fatal. It ate away a lot of nerves which were raw from the operation and I've been in pain ever since. I cleaned my leg... I got in that wreck an it layed my leg open and the hospital cleaned and stitched me up then I went to school and got Mrsa even with it covered up... @dsrtflwr my eyebrows used to be fkin ugly but a friend fixed them for me and everyone wants to have them been some years now...its usually about some tweaking and those with thicker eyebrows is much easier to do pretty ones
to derreck---well i was in the hospital for 5 days total i had 2 surgeries everyday i had to stick my leg in this thing called a whirlpool to keep the infection away..didnt hurt a bit it was actually pretty painless during the whole thing although i got medicine everyonce in a while when it started to hurt a little after i got out of the hospital i was in a wheelchair for a few months while i had my wound vac..my leg is all healed up now and i plan on making a recovery video soon

There is only an opening the shape of a quarter but there is a tunnel that goes up my leg that I have to keep packed with gauze each day. My doctor gave me antibiotics a few times and they seemed to work. But once I stop taking them, my leg seems to swell again with infection. I dont want another surgery and wound vac again. I feel helpless.
About 50% of my calve muscle was removed total. Ever since last July of 09' I still have mrsa in my leg. I had the wound vac for many months but one of the home health nurses left sponge inside my leg after the dressing was changed. So now my leg is infected again.
Last year I had a c-section and my daughter was born. Only 3 months after my right leg was in great pain and was red. They found a blood clot. I had a surgery to remove the clot and then got mrsa. The incision on my leg was 12 inches long and about 4 inches or so deep. I had 8 more surgeries scraping the staph off my dying calve muscle.

That's messed up. I think I would look into suing the hospital. MSRA Is usually caught in the hospital from being exposed to a non sanitary surface.

I cleaned my leg... I got in that wreck an it layed my leg open and the hospital cleaned and stitched me up then I went to school and got Mrsa even with it covered up... It wasn't because I didn't clean it.. But thanks everyone for the nice and informing comments I can never know to much about the infection that almost took my leg! :)

this is exactly why youre supposed to clean your wounds an wash your hands i had that once when some jackoff cut me with a knife down my side and i didnt clean that shit out and low and behold..i got mrsa i didnt wanna go to the doctors so i just drained that shit and cleaned it everyday fer a month an it went away...

@dsrtflwr my eyebrows used to be fkin ugly but a friend fixed them for me and everyone wants to have them been some years now...its usually about some tweaking and those with thicker eyebrows is much easier to do pretty ones

to derreck---well i was in the hospital for 5 days total i had 2 surgeries everyday i had to stick my leg in this thing called a whirlpool to keep the infection away..didnt hurt a bit it was actually pretty painless during the whole thing although i got medicine everyonce in a while when it started to hurt a little after i got out of the hospital i was in a wheelchair for a few months while i had my wound vac..my leg is all healed up now and i plan on making a recovery video soon

blondie0016--- i felt the same way..ofcourse mine wasnt as long as yours... and by now you already know the worst is them having to cut your leg off...and i know that would be hard and i thought i would loose my leg but it will get better i can promise you that so keep in good spirits!! <3

There is only an opening the shape of a quarter but there is a tunnel that goes up my leg that I have to keep packed with gauze each day. My doctor gave me antibiotics a few times and they seemed to work. But once I stop taking them, my leg seems to swell again with infection. I dont want another surgery and wound vac again. I feel helpless.

About 50% of my calve muscle was removed total. Ever since last July of 09' I still have mrsa in my leg. I had the wound vac for many months but one of the home health nurses left sponge inside my leg after the dressing was changed. So now my leg is infected again.

Last year I had a c-section and my daughter was born. Only 3 months after my right leg was in great pain and was red. They found a blood clot. I had a surgery to remove the clot and then got mrsa. The incision on my leg was 12 inches long and about 4 inches or so deep. I had 8 more surgeries scraping the staph off my dying calve muscle.
