@kachunski to avoid injury make sure u dont push off the right leg too much as u are turning your hips. Concentrate on pulling from the left leg and you can't go past neutral. Any players with a big lateral leg drive (eg Nicklaus) had hip replacements as the ball joint of the femur gets jammed into the socket of the hip joint. You ideally want the left leg/hip to be in neutral joint alignment as the hips turn. To avoid knee injury the weight should be in the left heel (not ball of foot).
you need a naturally strong core to move the hips in this way, most people can not do it.

i have a question. the hips turning thing really helps me hit my drives well but how do you stop from injuring yourself?
