Great video's! I was wondering since I am new at fpv, I never thought of anything other than a Styrofoam plane. Did you choose the edge for the speed or performance.?
@lk1dare I used the edge, because that was what I had available. I added the wingtips for increased lift and reduced roll rate. It worked well, but the best set ups seem to be flying foam wings. There are some folks in Europe flying the alps and shooting spectacular footage - they're called blacksheep, or something like that. Check em out. It's hard to keep up with all the great FPV videos coming out. A South American fellow with head tracker flying the beach was nice too. Happy New Year.
i'm from germany and was in florida for flying in january this year. Based in St Augustine but i also visited Space Coast Airport by plane, just a few miles north of Satellite Beach... check out my video "Contour HD Test XII - Flying in Florida" :)

@beeper0358 Thanks Danny. A few flights later, the ESC burned out. Fortunately I had the servos on a separate BEC. My next project will have redundant systems. Two motors each running off their own ESC, as well as dual receivers/controls. That way if something fails a couple miles off shore, the plane won't make a big splash! Are you all still doing the RC cars at Eskan?
@LarsAlaska Good you planned ahead and saved your plane. Right now we haven't re started RC racing, maybe come winter time again or if they allow us to move the race indoors at the meeting rooms :)
